Vishal's 5 days trip to Rajasthan

We recently chose services for first time from back to holidays for our trip to Rajasthan, and while there were some positive aspects, unfortunately, our overall experience was not as smooth as we had hoped. Issues with Driver and Vehicle The driver and vehicle provided were from Uttar Pradesh, not Rajasthan. As a result, the driver had no local knowledge, which caused significant delays and confusion. For instance, upon our arrival at Udaipur airport, it took 30-40 minutes for the driver to locate us, despite being at the airport gate. We were with six children and had to direct him over the phone repeatedly. Throughout the trip, the lack of local knowledge meant we had to rely on Google Maps to reach destinations. This consumed extra time and added unnecessary stress. Inaccuracies in Itinerary The itinerary mentioned an elephant ride near the Birla Temple, which was not there it was near amber fort and due to this details we missed that. This was a major disappointment, especially for the children who were looking forward to it. Sightseeing in Udaipur was poorly planned. For example: Jagdish Temple, listed for Day 2, should have been included on Day 1 as it is adjacent to Jagmandir Palace. Due to this misalignment, we had to waste time traveling across the city on Day 2, which resulted in skipping Fateh Sagar Lake and the Aquarium. Hotel Experiences Devi Palace, Udaipur: This hotel was excellent. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, providing detailed guidance for local sightseeing. The breakfast and meals were also outstanding. The Lighthouse, Jaipur: Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet expectations. The staff was rude, unresponsive to feedback, and the breakfast quality was subpar. We decided against having any meals here. What ever ratings we have given to the hotels are only to devi palace we consider poor rating to the light house. We enjoyed, our stay at Devi Palace, the overall experience was spoiled by the lack of local expertise, misinformation in the itinerary, and disappointing accommodations in Jaipur. Hotel at Munnar Mist inn is not upto value. But at Thekkady Mountain hues is very good. At Alleppey some boat house issue but agency managed. Boat house is ok but they moved only 1/2 km which is not our expectations. Food is ok but generic. Travel agency has misguide. At cherai beach hotel infront of sea but room is too small. Journey was wonderful, all hills please is ok. At Alleppey house boat experience was beautiful.

The experience with TT and Scape Tours was below satisfaction. The cab and driver service caused us inconvenience with the driver not providing service in accordance with our itinerary. Our booking had cab service until 10 pm but the driver was not willing to drive after 7 pm. This caused us inconvenience especially given the fact that we were a family with 2 small kids. The payment process was also confusing as Scape Tour delegated our booking to another company and in the middle of the trip the driver of that company started asking us to pay them directly. Scape Tour was also not pro active in communicating when and how much payment installment is required for the booking. We would get a message one day to make same day payment and until we paid, we would constantly get messages and calls ( every 10-15 minutes) which was frustrating while we were in the middle of our trip. On the whole, the experience was less than satisfactory.

We had worst experience on arrival at Phuket, the itinerary has been changed but no information shared, moreover the phi-phi island trip cancelled without any reason. We have enquired with other trip agents whether there is any govt notification for cancellation of island journey on 3rd January but they confirmed that they sent 11 passenger for phi-phi island for that day . So we have wasted our entire trip of Phuket. Going from far off places depending on the agents had our worst night mare. We had enjoyed at our own. From 4th January we have enjoyed our trip managed by Travel agent. Our suggestions: they should have command over their overseas partner for better communication and management. Now we are awaiting our refund of cancellation of phi- phi island trip amount also the compensation for loss of time and mental tensions upto 3rd January. 4 island trip at Krabi.
