1. Dimapur

According to the Kachari language, di means 'river', ma means 'great' and pur means 'city'. Dimapur is counted among the major tourist destinations of Nagaland and is also known as the entry gate to Kohima. 2. Kohima

Kohima is the capital city of the state Nagaland and is located on the Naga hills, 48 km south-east of the railway at Dimapur in northeast India. The natural beauty of Kohima is cannot be compared. The "Hima War Memorial", a wreath of soldiers killed during the Second World War, attracts a large number of tourists here. 4. Mon

5. Wokha

How To Reach

India’s major cities like Guwahati and Kolkata is connected to Dimapur, the largest city of Nagaland. This northern state has only one airport, and railway station, and both are in Dimapur. Not only Nagaland but the route to the state is scenic.

By Air

Dimapur airport is the only airport which is around 75 km away from Nagaland. The city is connected to Kolkata and Guwahati by all means. The airport has regular Air India Regional, IndiGo, and Air India flights from Dibrugarh, Delhi and Kolkata. For International travellers, taking flights from Kolkata to Dimapur airport is the best way to reach Nagaland.
