The Amararama Temple resides by the bank of River Krishna in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The temple can be easily reached by bus from other cities in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Amara Lingeswara swamy is the main deity here and apart from the main temple you can capture glimpses of other temples too within the compound.

2. Draksharamam

The Draksharamam Bhimeswara Swamy Temple is an enormous temple featuring three compound circles. The temple is maintained by the Archeological Department. It is believed that Lord Rama, Lord Surya, and Lord Indra worshipped Shiva here.

The Somarama Bhimavaram Temple is in Gunupudi. The temple houses a sacred pond, Chandra Kundam. It is believed that Lord Charda worshipped Lord Shiva here to get rid of his sins. The colour of the Shivalinga changes according to the lunar month, that is black during Amavasya and white on Pooramasi.

The fourth temple to visit with the Pancharamalu tour package is Ksheerarama Temple. Nestled in Palakollu, this is the site where Lord Vishnu received Sudarshana chakra from Ksheera Rama Lingeswara swamy. The temple can be easily reached by road.

The Kumararama Bhimeswara Swamy Temple in Samalkot is the fifth and final temple of Pancharamalu circuit. The temple is maintained by the Archeological Department and the prime attraction here is the vast representation of Shivalinga.

Best time to visit Pancharamalu

The best time to go for Pancharamalu excursion is during winters, especially between November and February. The weather remains pleasant during this time and it's quite convenient to go for local explorations.

Summers are extreme here with temperature rising to 45°C. Humidity remains on a higher side due to its coastal surroundings. You may feel a bit uncomfortable during sightseeing and other excursions due to weather.
