Ideal Duration

Bali is an exotic destination and a perfect getaway for honeymooners. So, if you are planning a trip to Bali with your beloved, an ideal duration would be around 5 nights and 6 days. This trip would surely be a memorable one, and you will be able to enjoy the best of Bali.

Best Time To Visit

Bali has two distinct seasons: the wet and the dry. There is no winter season in Bali as the island experiences a tropical climate. Bali is situated just 8 degrees south of the equator, and as a result, the weather is humid, tropical with drizzling rainfall. However, on top of the mountains, the temperatures are much more relaxed at about 3000 meters. The summer season with sporadic rainfall lasts from April-October, and it is considered the best time to plan Bali honeymoon packages from Kerala. The weather is perfect for beachgoers and sunbathers. There is very little rainfall, so the precipitation remains low. The dry season in Bali is also the time when the tourist footfall is high, and hotel prices skyrocket. This is the time when the island receives sporadic rainfall, and clear skies make it a hotbed destination for tourists. It is the best time for hitting the beaches and outdoor activities. So, if you are planning a trip to Bali during this time, make sure to book your hotels well in advance. This is the best time to surf Bali and explore the impressive eastern beaches. The period from November-March is the wet period in Bali, and it is not a good time to plan honeymoon packages to Bali from Kerala. The island experiences a tremendous amount of rainfall during this time, accompanied by high humidity and soaring temperatures. The hotel rates are cheaper during this time, but unrelenting mosquitoes may force you to reconsider the visit. The winds are strongly felt across the coastal regions, and the surfers are warned against venturing out to the open sea. Weather in Bali is, however, extremely unpredictable, and it is very difficult to predict patterns.

How to Reach

There are many different flight options when you are traveling from Kerala to Bali. You will land up at the Ngurah Rai International Airport from which is considered as the international gateway to the island for your Bali honeymoon packages from Kerala. If you are looking for cheaper flight options to reach Bali, then it would be feasible to book 5-6 months before the peak tourist season. You can book cheap flights from low-cost carriers like AirAsia and Malindo Airlines. Tickets are less expensive from Cochin as compared to other south Indian cities. Another great way to avoid high ticket rates is booking your flight during weekdays. Indonesia has a strict passport and visa formalities, and you would have to wait for some time to get clearance. Economical flights operate daily between Cochin in Kerala and Bali in Indonesia so that it won't be an issue. After arriving at the Bali airport, you will need to get a Visa on arrival if you haven't obtained a prior visa before arrival. Proceed to customs and get your visa by paying a fee of $25. It should be noted that Bali has an outstanding commuting facility from the international airport. These are frequent buses, cabs and public transport systems that frequently take the visitors from the airport to the center of Bali. So, getting to Bali from Kerala is relatively easy, but you need to keep your passport and visa and complete all the formalities during Bali honeymoon packages from Kerala.

Prem's 6 days trip to Bali

The trip was organised well in advance, with specific instructions ensuring the comfort level of travellers (all travellers were senior citizens). Given below are major observations for further improvement: 1. 06/09/26: Arrival in Bali: There was an arrival time difference between the two groups. I
t could have been better if separate pickup was arranged so that excessive waiting time could have been avoided by the first group members. The reason was the distance between the airport and the place of stay. The travel advisor could have arranged the itinerary in such a way that the first day was spent at a nearby place. Anyway, not a major issue. 2. Stay at Ubud: The property was good; the only issue was that it was not properly maintained. In two villas, the room fridge was not working. The next day, a mechanic was called, and he suggested replacement. Toiletries were not filled in before arrival; even the tea pouches were made available on request. Warm water was not available in some villas. The major issue was property selection; all members were entitled to equal amenities, whereas in fact, the villa configuration was different for two facilities. The tour organiser was aware of the same, and we were kept in the dark. 3. 07/09: The day was spent well. The driver arrived on time. No major issues. 4. 08/09: The sightseeing itinerary planning was OK. But faced issues at the new property. The rooms allotted were not accessible by lift, whereas members were having knee issues and were not OK with stairs. After a lot of persuasion, the rooms were shifted. It was specifically mentioned that since the group comprises senior citizens, either book the rooms on the ground floor or the lift should be accessible on the upper floor. If, after arrival, we have to manage that, why at all are we engaging a travel organiser is a moot question. 5. 09/09: The itinerary planning was poor. Returned to the hotel by around 3.30 pm; had to miss one scheduled activity as there was a gap of 3 hrs in the next item on the schedule, whereas the plan mentioned that it was till 8 pm. The planning was at fault. 6. While finalising the itinerary, the organiser missed one major activity of bali swing. It is an iconic activity associated with Bali. Don't know why it was not included. Secondly, in the itinerary, there is a reference to a volcano visit which was not covered. Further, at Nusa Penida: In the itinerary, it was mentioned to keep IRD 25K per person for the broken bridge, but we were taken to two places where, at each place, the entry fee of 25K was demanded, and we were short of cash. The driver had no idea about the speedboat, dropped us at a location too far away, and we had to walk more than one kilometre, whereas the nearest parking was available within walking distance (say, 50-100 meters) 7. 11/09: Early morning (4 AM) departure to the airport was not well coordinated. 8. Last but not least: In a foreign country, the driver is the sole communicator between travellers and the local community. We were told the driver cum guide would be English-speaking. We can understand the limitation, but communication skills are a critical factor and needs serious improvement. Being professional is different, but travellers need a companion during the trip, which was a major miss. Summary: We enjoyed the trip, but the experience could have been better. I would say that we deserve compensation for the deficiency of services we faced during the trip to restore our confidence in Travel Triangle to assign our future trips (this was 3rd trip we organised through Travel Triangle)
