Chinmoy's 4 days trip to Manali

Trip was mostly hassle free apart from the last day. Driver had not received payment as he was asked to collect payment in cash from me, however I had already done the final payment online the previous day. I had to make numerous calls to both Travel Triangle and North India tours to get things sorted. Please make sure such things don't happen in future.

Sudatta's 8 days trip to Manali

Overall, the trip was good. However driver assigned was not professional. At certain places there were rash drivings. Coming to the accommodation, the hotels were well chosen. Especially the one for manali and dalhousie were the best with mesmerising scenic views. However for the hotel in dharmashala, the room was not provided as agreed before the trip and we had to face a lot of issues. Overall, the trip was memorable. However, would suggest improvements in terms of assigning good drivers, since thats also an essential part of the trip. Accommodation for manali and dalhousie was too good. Solang valley visit was memorable.

Tips

Your trip to Kullu-Manali can be made much better if you simply keep a few tips and suggestions in mind! Here is a list of things you need to be careful about on your trip.

  • Make sure to carry appropriate government-issued documents that prove your nationality, like your passport or ADHAAR card.
  • It is better to keep a local guide who can communicate with you as well as with the local people. It makes easy for you to communicate with the local vendors and people of different communities.
  • Although there are ATMs, the availability of ATMs becomes less frequent as you move away from the city area, so make sure you have enough cash on hand at all times.
  • Take your own first aid kit with you and don’t forget to take your regular medicines with you. Keep medicines for common cold and fever with you all the time as the weather is very different.
  • As you are traveling from Mumbai, take care of the weather. Be sure that it is not rainy.
  • Altitude sickness is something that is likely to affect you as you go higher up the mountains—the lack of oxygen and changes in air pressure may cause nausea, dizziness and in rare cases, pulmonary edema! Make sure you check with your doctor first and go slowly.

Manali and Kullu valley is a land full of natural beauty, wildlife diversity, trekking places and a great spot for winter adventures like paragliding, parachuting, horse riding, skiing, etc. Especially for children, it is a really enjoyable place as it gives them a clear picture of the incredible beauty of nature which they can never get in their city lives on your Kullu Manali family tour package from Mumbai.
