Why This Is a Good First Thailand Trip With Kids

Thailand is one of the easiest places to take children for their first trip abroad. It is colourful and friendly, the flights from India are short, and a huge share of the sightseeing is built for families: animal parks, an aquarium, a wax museum, gentle island beaches and evening shows that hold a child's attention. This package puts the best of that into one fixed, bookable 6-night plan across Pattaya, Bangkok and Phuket, so you are not stitching together a route yourself.

The pacing is the point. Arrival and travel days stay light, the busy attraction days sit in the middle, and the beach days give everyone a breather. You get one decided plan a parent can look at and book, rather than six itinerary ideas to compare.

This is the kids-focused plan in our wider Thailand family tour packages range, so if you want a different city mix or a longer trip you can start there and customise.

Day-by-Day: Your 7-Day Thailand Itinerary With Kids

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok, Transfer to Pattaya and the Alcazar Show

When you land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, our representative meets you and drives you to Pattaya. Check in, freshen up, and in the evening watch the Alcazar Show, a bright cabaret of music, costumes and dance. After the show, return to the hotel for the night.

Kid note: this is a deliberately easy first day. The Alcazar is a seated 70-minute show that suits all ages and is a calm way to end a travel day. Ages 5 and up.

Day 2: Pattaya and the Coral Island Family Day

After breakfast, head out for a boat trip to Coral Island (Koh Larn). Once you reach the island, spend the day on the sand, in the shallow water and taking in the views. As the day winds down, return to the hotel for the night. Lunch is included.

Kid note: this is your family island-hopping day. Life jackets are provided and the beaches shelve gently, so non-swimmers and children from about age 5 can paddle and snorkel close to shore. Reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard help on the boat.

Day 3: Pattaya to Bangkok, City Tour, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bangkok. On the way, a guided city tour stops at the Golden Buddha Temple and the Marble Temple. Check in, then visit SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, followed by the Madame Tussauds wax museum. Overnight in Bangkok.

Kid note: temples hold most young children for about 30 minutes, so keep those stops short. SEA LIFE is indoor, cool and takes around 2 hours, which toddlers love, and Madame Tussauds lands best with tweens and teens who recognise the faces.

Day 4: Bangkok, Safari World and Marine Park

After breakfast, spend a full day at Safari World and Marine Park. Take the safari drive-through to see the animals, watch the tiger and lion feeding, catch the stunt and dolphin shows, and spot zebras, orangutans, dolphins and elephants. Return to the hotel for the night.

Kid note: this is the trip's biggest hit for children and works for every age, toddlers included. There is a lot of walking between the safari park and the marine park, so bring a stroller for little ones and plan a midday break. All ages.

Day 5: Fly to Phuket and the Siam Niramit Show

After breakfast, check out and travel to Phuket, where our representative meets you and takes you to the hotel. Check in and freshen up. In the evening, enjoy the Siam Niramit show, a large cultural production of Thai arts, dance and stagecraft. Return to the hotel after the show.

Kid note: a lighter travel day. Siam Niramit is an evening show of about 80 minutes and suits ages 6 and up; very young children may tire before the finale, so an early dinner helps.

Day 6: Phuket and the Phi Phi Island Tour

After breakfast, set out for the Phi Phi Islands. Visit Bamboo Island, which is ideal for snorkelling in clear shallow water, then Maya Bay, the beach made famous by the film The Beach. As the sun drops, return to the hotel for the night.

Kid note: this tour runs on a big boat rather than a speedboat, so the ride is steadier and there is less chance of seasickness with children. Life jackets are worn on the water, and the Bamboo Island snorkelling suits ages 5 and up. It is a long day at sea, so pack water, snacks and a hat.

    Day 7: Departure from Phuket

After a final breakfast, check out and fly from Phuket to Bangkok International Airport to connect with your flight home to India, carrying back a week of beaches, animals, shows and island memories.

Kid note: an easy travel day. Keep the airport buffer generous with children and the Phuket-to-Bangkok connection in mind.

Family Island Hopping and Water Safety

Two of the best days on this trip happen on the water: Coral Island from Pattaya and Phi Phi from Phuket. Both are gentle, family-friendly island-hopping days rather than adventure trips, which is exactly what you want with children on board.

Life jackets are provided on both tours and should stay on for any child near or in the water, swimmer or not. The Coral Island beaches shelve slowly into calm, shallow bays, so young children can wade and try snorkelling close to shore. The Phi Phi tour uses a big boat, which rides far steadier than a speedboat and is the better choice if anyone in the family gets seasick. Pack reef-safe sunscreen, a rash guard or T-shirt for in-water sun cover, and water and snacks for the longer Phi Phi day.

Where You Stay: Family-Friendly Hotels on This Trip

Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel, Bangkok (nights 3 to 4)

128/1 Sukhumvit Soi 4, Klongtoey, Bangkok 10110. A central Sukhumvit location with a pool, handy for the SEA LIFE and Safari World transfers and close to shops and food for an easy family dinner.

You receive the full written policy, with refund timelines, along with your itinerary. For a family trip we recommend travel insurance that covers a child falling ill or a last-minute change of plan.

Hitesh's 8 days trip to Thailand

I had a very smooth experience booking my Thailand trip along with 7 of my family members. I really liked the speed and swiftness with which the entire process of booking happened as I had to plan it at a short notice. Abhijeet from Fireflies was very responsive, accommodative and yet professio
nal. Sourav from Travel Triangle was also a phone call away, and guided me which was helpful. Overall very transparent way of booking a trip. Regarding my on the ground experience during the trip, I think Travel Triangle lost an opportunity to create customer delight. I had booked all 5 star hotels so I had expected 5-star facilities on each of the vouchers as well (and I wouldn't have mind paying extra if I was offered a choice). But at couple of places the services were not up to the standard. E.g. there were 3 categories in ship trip to phi phi island (Economy, Silver and Gold). My vouchers were for Economy. I had expected it to be at least Silver if not gold. The lunch arrangement at phi phi Island was very poor. There was no prior information to the restaurant about arranging Jain food (though I had made it clear while booking the trip). The place (Samosa Restaurant) where food was served was very dirty, no wash basin, soiled plates scattered on floor, no proper seating, no adequate fans, forget air conditioning. Secondly, the van provided to travel from Pattaya to Bangkok was an old one with in adequate air conditioning. Given it was hot, it was inconvenient as the van was with us for almost 6 hours that day as we had to do temple tours as well. The driver didn't know English at all so it was difficult to communicate. Finally, no prior information was provided to airlines about vegetarian or jain food preference. In fact, on the flight from Phuket to Bangkok, since there was no information to airlines, they had ONLY non-veg food to serve. Similarly, on the flight back from Bangkok to Mumbai they didn't arrange jain food. With 6 out of 8 passengers in our group preferring jain food, it was not a pleasant experience. In fact, I had communicated on the whatsapp group provided to me about food, but they didn't pay any heed. They mis-informed me that food choice is done at the time of web checkin, which I found was not the case. I went back to them but there was no response. Overall, since I had made it clear that everything had to be 5 star, travel triangle could have put in some extra efforts to take care of the above 3 things where I found them to be lacking. Since our hotels were all 5 star, we had an overall good experience. And thankfully all vans and pick ups came on time.

Balaji's 7 days trip to Thailand

Yes we enjoyed the trip , there were still few downfalls 1. Elephant sanctuary we had asked for elephant care, the one we expected was the ‘pon Thailand sanctuary‘ where we can bath with the elephants in their natural habitat and take a dip in the waterfalls (we didn’t want to do elephant riding /o
xen cart riding since we fry guilty riding on the elephants it was struggling ,so we were disappointed a bit . 2. dinner cruise we actually wanted to do a peaceful cruise with Thai cultural dance but the cruise was overflowing with so many Indians and the dinner was a mess , they treated us like a herd of goats . There was no Thai dance or continental buffet the cruise was chaotic 3. chiang mai - the temple we visited - they charged 1500baht with return, the journey was some 40 min +40 min up and down the hill. We felt it was very expensive maybe we should have booked a ‘bolt ‘car. 1500baht was too much. Ms.nai could have asked us to take bolt instead but she pushed us to make a decision quickly and take the van . 3. the safari world was too too crowded some 1500 people in all the shows couldn’t get a place to sit and the lunch was so bad , again in general no hospitality it was like a big mandap with dirty buffet. But this was not anybody’s mistake , it’s just the place in general which is bad. 4. ms Jane was a terrible coordinator .. 5. Bangkok in general very bad hospitality I think they hate Indians since the place was filled with crowded Indians. Baiyokesky first day breakfast was not that good. Coming to the The good parts : 1. Phuket was beautiful , the resort , activities etc were fab. Ms pum was a great coordinator . She helped us as much as she could getting good deals everywhere and making us chose the best activities shopping spa etc. 2. chiang mai we loved the resort it was a proper nature retreat , the food was good night bazaar etc was good . The guide to the elephant sanctuary and orchid gardens was good he guided us well but we didn’t fully like the itinerary for the day like I mentioned before. 3. Bangkok- the van safari was fantastic .. loved seeing the animals in very pleasant natural habitats.. the orangutan , dolphin shows were good. Shopping in Bangkok was also good.

The hotel balcony view of 2 hotels was not at all good. Only the phuket hotel was good in all sense. Probably should have given more options. Also Bangkok hotel was far off from market area and the city tour provided was just shown 2 temples, there was another half day free they could have provide
d half day tour as we did it personally to Grand Palace . Also the company could have suggested some shopping places that could have helped Phuket Phi Phi Island trip was very well arranged. Pattaya trip to Coral Island too was good The Safari trip to Bangkok was also good Overall trip was good

We just returned from an unforgettable trip to Thailand, and I couldn’t be more grateful to our amazing travel company for making it all possible. From the very beginning, the entire experience was seamless, stress-free, and filled with once-in-a-lifetime moments. Every detail was thoughtfully plann

Wonderful experience, I have booked holiday to Thailand for family of 4, this was 1st international experience and was awesome. Mr. Hemant of Ananta Travels was excellent in the entire journey right from booking till end of the Thailand tour. The coordinators in Thailand Khun Kae for Phuket and Jeab
for Pattaya and were also well organised. The best part was the WhatsApp group created by coordinator for my travel where every information / help was provided. The family suite in Ramada was the Best. They have also provided additional sightseeing of 'Panyee Village', 'Big Buddha' Phuket and 'Train Market' of Bangkok which was not part of my itinerary. Ofcourse the Phi Phi Island beach was the best and the clear green water on island beach was excellent. And the Tawaen beach on the Coral island Pattaya wonderful experience with blueish green clear water.
