We recently returned from our Bhutan trip organized by Travel Triangle, and we must say it was a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we landed till the end of our journey, everything was very well planned and executed. A big thank you to our guide Yeshi Wangchuk and our pilot (driver) Tshering. Yeshi was incredibly knowledgeable, and he briefed us thoroughly at every step, ensuring we understood and appreciated the cultural and historical significance of the places we visited. Both Yeshi and Tshering were extremely cooperative and accommodating—they never hesitated with anything we asked for, always making sure we were comfortable and happy throughout the trip. The stays arranged by Travel Triangle were excellent—each one offered beautiful views and came with a delicious breakfast to start our days right. The hospitality and comfort made the experience even more memorable. Thanks once again to Travel Triangle for arranging such a beautiful and seamless trip. Bhutan will always have a special place in our hearts!

Our cab driver and guide were also very cooperative and shared valuable insights into the history of the places we visited. Overall, it was a truly wonderful trip for us. The best part was our stay at Oro Villa in Thimphu and Lobesa in Punaka and Tashi namgay in Paro—it was amazing! The food was delicious, and the people there were super friendly.

It is OFF SEASON but yet the package was on higher side, hotel of Phuentsholing and Paro was not upto the mark. At Paro it was far off from city centre between a farm land. There was a clear communication from my side to close the deal within 50k but came to know at time of immigration that SDF was additional it didn't set the tone right for the trip also some sight seeing were not covered, anyways it's over now and almost a safe trip. The journey was nice with nice almost new car of Mr.Lobzang and guide Mr. Sonam was also good. Couple of restaurants were good and Thimpu hotel was great

Tips

Dressing

Make sure you dress conservatively in Bhutan since it’s a relatively conservative Bhuddist country. The traditional dress of the Bhutanese are long skirts going all the way to the ankle and long sleeves along with high necklines. Therefore, even if you are not wearing the traditional dress, try to keep your arms and legs covered at all times. Make sure you have footwear suitable for hikes in the mountainous terrain of Bhutan.

Cuisine

Bhutanemese food is known for its unique taste and deliciousness. The authentic dishes of Bhutan can be very different from Tibetian or Nepali food. The most famous Bhutanese dish is Ema datshi. The dish is made of chillies and a delicious cheese sauce. You should definitely try this traditional dish. The cheese or datshi is taken with other ingredients like potatoes (Kewa Datshi), mushrooms (Shamu Datshi) and even beef (Shakam ema datshi).

Culture

Bhutan is conservative Buddhist country and follows the Tibetan form of Mahayana Buddhism. The country’s isolationist policies has made it possible for people to preserve their religion. Your exploration of the country cannot end without falling absolutely in live with the serenity of Bhutan’s culture.

Festivals

If you love exploring different cultures and traditions, make sure to time your arrival in Bhutan with the start of a festival. There are a number of festivals celebrated in Bhutan every year. Some of the famous festivals are the paro and Thimphu Tshechu showcasing colourful dancing and beautiful aesthetic costumes that will leave you in a state of awe. Some of the other festivals that you might want to explore are the Ura Matsusake Mushroom festival or the Haa Summer Festival.

It is no wonder that the tourism to Bhutan has been constantly increasing. The unparalleled beauty topped with a unique culture has drawn the attention of many travellers. You might want peace and comfort and Bhutan tour packages from Bangalore will guide you to the best way of spending your time in this hidden gem of Southeast Asia.
