Winter in the Andaman Islands

The best months to visit The Andaman Nicobar Islands is during the winter months, December and January have a lot of tourists coming in and it also gets super pricey.

Some of the activities to do during this time are to visit the Cellular jail , its known for its infamous Light and sound show narrating the story of India’s Freedom. It’s located in Port Blair.

Another thrilling activity to do is parasailing; it lets you have a jaw dropping glimpse of the turquoise and white sand beaches. An alternate thing to do would be to try the sea plane ride which starts from the Neil Island then Havelock Island etc.

If you’re feeling extra adventurous suggestion is to check out the Limestone caves of Baratang Island, which is a daylong excursion. The route from Batarang Jetty to Nayadera Jetty is very magical.

The Limestone caves are made of calcium carbonate structures along with age old deposits such as sea shells, skeletons etc.

By Air

The flying distance from Jaipur to Port Blair is 2453 kms.

There are no direct flights from Jaipur. So you can reach Port Blair by taking a bus from Jaipur to New Delhi, then take a flight from New Delhi to Port Blair. The duration is approximately 12 hours.

By Rail

You can take Sultanpur express from Jaipur to New Delhi. Then take a flight to Port Blair.

This takes about 16 hours and 45 minutes.

By Bus

There is no direct bus either. Similarly you can take a bus from Jaipur to New Delhi. Then take a flight from New Delhi to Port Blair.
