Sikkim Tour Package From Kolkata

One of the most famous tourist, cultural and historical points of India is Sikkim, a northeastern state in the country. You can visit this gorgeous piece of land lying in the Himalayan foothills by booking a Sikkim tour package from Kolkata.
Sikkim is an unmatched travel spot for both Indians and foreigners and will leave you speechless with its beauty.

Whenever you begin traversing through the state, start your journey at the capital city of Gangtok lying roughly 1800 m above the sea level. With panoramic views of the Sikkim valley, surrounding villages and towering pines, Gangtok are, without a doubt, one of the finest hill stations of the country. For those desiring a luxurious urban vacation, Gangtok offers a spicy and heady mix of nature and civilization. For the best possible tour, entertain a shopping spree on Gangtok’s narrow and damp streets. The history enthusiasts of the world reconcile their queries about the complex and unique past of Indo-China relations at the Nathu-La pass – India’s land gateway into its neighbour. The sacred monasteries of Sikkim are a must-visit, both for the peaceful environment and the gorgeous views. Western Sikkim, situated at the base of Kanchenjunga, plays host to lush green trees and expansive meadows filled with wildflowers. Gurudongmar Lake and Rumtek monastery are two of the most sacred tourist spots of Sikkim. You must take some time out to visit these places and witness local rituals and religious customs. If you want a calm and solitary vacation even in busy tourist seasons, visit a small site called Lachen. You can organize a camp beside Lachen’s lakes or hike on a snow-covered trail overlooking the Himalayas in the periphery. To explore forests located in near the Indo-China border for their extraordinarily diverse flora, go to Northern Sikkim. To explore all these places, book a Sikkim tour package from Kolkata.

Best Time to Visit

Being in the vicinity of Kanchenjunga and near the mighty Himalayas, Sikkim is immune to the extremely scorching weather that clouds the Indian subcontinent for a majority of the year. This is why it is incredibly convenient to visit Sikkim all year round. You can take a Sikkim tour package from Kolkata anytime during the year to enjoy a memorable holiday.

Summer

Sikkim does not experience scorchingly hot summers, humidity or hot winds from April to June. The average temperature in Sikkim remains 13 degrees minimum and 28 degrees maximum as the sun comes up. These temperatures warrant pleasurable times in Sikkim during the summer. Since you do not have to carry bulky woollens when you travel to Sikkim during the summers, it is one of the most accessible seasons to go in. After all, who doesn't like a piece of light luggage. Most high-altitude villages, monasteries and lake are also worth a visit in summers since they remain glowing and welcoming under crystal rays of the sun.

Monsoon

From July to September, monsoon season makes Sikkim a bit humid, and some parts of it experience heavy rainfall. The humidity suddenly increases in August and November as well as due to a shift in the direction of the winds. During the rainy season, vegetation and other local flora in the region flourish and gift the area with some unique plant species. Temperatures also drop as a result of constant rain; however, humidity keeps the days hot.

Winter

Winters are extreme to the point of being uncomfortable in higher regions of Sikkim from October to March. Snowstorms and blizzards during this season are nothing new. However, the cold won't deter you from making your time in Sikkim memorable as you explore the low lying areas and unique winter sports opportunities. As long as you pack winter gear, you should have any problems visiting the snow-covered lands in winters.
