Peak Season

Monsoon Season

monsoon starts between June to August and it is the best time to visit Kerala only if you are going for Ayurveda treatments. It has great rejuvenation programs and the wet and the cold climate of monsoon gives you the most pleasant time for ayurvedic treatments. The valleys are greener and beaches are cleaner in this season. The only caution is if you head for the trek. It hills might get slippery. So it is advisable only for leisure and Ayurvedic treatment

How to Reach

There are many ways to travel to Kerala from Cochin.

By Trains

Cochin is well connected with major Railway stations in India. Similarly from Chennai, one can take a train to Cochin or Ernakulam Railway station. Then you can either travel on a bus or a private car. Chennai to Kerala by Train is approximately 9 hours of Travel.

By Bus

Cochin has a strong network of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) net connect major Kerala cities two different cities in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Chennai is one of them which is connected to two major cities in Kerala like Ernakulam, Thrissur, Cochin.

This also takes approximately 9-10 hours of travel.

By Road (Self-drive)

From Chennai to Cochin it is about 13 and a half hours of travel. This will bring you through the Western Ghats so it might as well increase the time. It is up to people if they want to drive so long.
