Sneha's 5 days trip to Kashmir

The Trip was very good. but due to the weather conditions we missed some of the points. But rest of the travel was good. Our driver was extremely good, inspite of the issue with katra bypass, he managed to drop us to katra before the expected time. Behaviour of the driver towards the clients, giving information as and when needed, always active on calls. Thank you harmosa for this trip.

Teja's 7 days trip to Kashmir

We have travelled to Kashmir and katra trip through traveltalkies. We stayed in Srinagar (Star of Kashmir)for 3 days, houseboat (akbar group of houseboats) 1 day, pehalgam(green Orchid hotel) 1 day and katra (nek katra hotel) 1 day... For me food, service & neatness matters. So i will rate as per the 3 variables. 1. Star of Kashmir - located in prime city of Srinagar, food is ok, their service and hospitality is great and neatness is fine we can rate 4 star for it. 2. akbar group of houseboat- located in Nigeen lake not in the prime Dal lake. Food is below average, no staff in house boat as no one is occupied, they have to bring food from another place as cooking is not available in houseboat, for neatness also full dust on bed we got dust allergy.. One good thing is one old gentleman brought khawa for us.. On a whole we rate 1star for it that too for khawa. 3. Green Orchid hotel- There are many good hotels available in pahalgam than this with beautiful view. But the neatness is ok and food is also ok but their service is just below par... As I forgot my hotel keys in my jacket thought I lost the keys.. Now the hotel staff started melodramatic and started saying it will cost around 15k for it.. Then loudly I asked for duplicate key and give me time to search then they are bragging about power supply to keep the keys into the unit.. They said whole unit have to be installed indirectly pointing towards money. Luckily I got my keys.. I saved from their looting.. And finally after the breakfast they troubled my wife for the tip as I went with car and luggage to place in it. Though the hotel is good staff are spoiling the image so I would rate it to 1 star for it. 4. Hotel Nek katra- The best hotel in our whole trip.. Good manager, good service, good food 4.5 star for it. Our driver Gowhar is a great guy.. Talks less but guided us well and perfect driving in difficult roads too.. Even though we are late he waited patiently and he only planned accordingly.. Saved our time and money in few instances.. But from srinagar to pahalgam he didn't come maybe due to his family.. His younger brother came which wasted our time and insisted not to go mamaleswar temple which is just 1.5 km from pehelgam and awantipura temple ruins as my wife is worshiper she felt upset for that. Suddenly another driver came from pehelgam to katra.. Though he is good and great like gowhar that Suddenness breaks good atmosphere. Overall the traveltalkies is doing a great job by coordinating all the hotel members and drivers.Though some mentioned things in itinerary were not followed like welcome drinks, awantipura temple visit, driver change due to religion disturbances. Few things they are lacking is once the trip is starting they just call for money not for any review nor for the trip.. Lata ji you are great. Efficiently converted the lead and made believe in your traveltalkies.

Meda's 7 days trip to Kashmir

Recently we went to Kashmir. It's a family trip. 9 members of my family visited Kashmir and Katra for 7 nights . It's a wonderful place to spend time. Everyone felt bad on the last day of the trip as it end soon :) Every place in Kashmir is unique. We had a great time. Here couple of feedback from my side 1. As I am regular traveller, i requested TT for discount. I didn't get response. It would have been good atleast u said possible or not possible 2. We were not aware that pre-paid mobile SIM cards doesn't work in Kashmir. If it was informed to us we would have purchased post paid card. 3. In the trip, 3 vehicles have been changed. Second vehicle was not good. Everyone suffered. Despite of we requesting for good vehicle, we received a bad one. 4. Boat house was not clean. Initially the boat house management was rude with us. Broken chairs, dusty rooms and sofas. I shared the pics to travels team. Even breakfast was not good. Butter and jam were not fresh. They didn't give water bottles to us. After the travels team spoke to them, they were normal. Please take care of all these. So that other visitors won't suffer like us.

Experience overall was just ok. Things which went well: 1. Hotel in Srinagar, pahalgam and Katra 2. Change of driver post complaint Things which needs improvement: 1. Proper info on houseboat stay and how to reach there 2. Providing car post inspection as the car we were provided with lacked basic locks, gates were not opening from outside as these were broken 3. Drivers everywhere seemed only interested to earn commission instead of guiding us 4. Travel agent at times seemed clueless on what they have booked, this was the case for boathouse. We were being told that Anarkali super deluxe houseboat ok in the package.. BT the condition and hospitality of the houseboat was worst and cannot even be considered as an hospitality industry providing services. 5. One of the hotel in Jammu told us our agent has not paid there service fees for our stay and wanted our help to get this settled. This was embarrassing as we had already paid in full. Pahalgam sight seeing and Srinagar hotel service

Shashwat was extremely responsive from TravelTriangle specially before the journey started. He helped me to download the vouchers when it wasnt working from the app.I believe the TT app needs to be improved a bit.We selected Ozzo and they planned our hotel stay and entire cab journey. Our journey with Ozzo was from Katra-Pahalgam-Srinagar-Gulmarg-Sonmarg - Kargil- Srinagar. However the excessive snowfall spoiled our plans for Kargil and we had to stay in Sonmarg.Annu planned it meticulously and Mr. Amir responded to our queries very well.Excepting for the Hotel Triden in Srinagar(absolutely pathetic) all the hotels were quite clean, hospitable and guest friendly.Srichan Resort, Glacier Heights in Sonmarg and the Majestic & H.K.Houseboat in Srinagar were hygienic.Food was also decent since we were travelling with 2 small kids.Mr Amir co-ordinated with our drivers and planned it throughout the trip to ensure we dont miss out on Kargil but God has his own ways. Also we were told that May weather remains sunny mostly however we had to buy sweaters from Srinagar due to heavy snowfall. So probably look out for Accuweather for updates.

The trip was amazing except for the hotel at Katra heights. The hotel condition was very bad, the room was not clean. The room was full of moulds. The bedsheets and pillows were torn and they don't change the bedsheets daily the dinner was not in time. At the time of booking with the travel agent we had requested for Jain food but the hotel person could not provide later he provided rice dhal and chapati at 9.00 pm and more over to have dinner we need to walk 5 minutes to another place. Gulmarg, boat house Shikhar ride and sonmarg amazing

Overall a smooth trip. Few improvement points : 1.Hotel in Katra could have been better. Devi Grand rooms are old and not maintained well. 2. Cab should have been AC considering the hot weather there Gulmarg is very beautiful and worth spending a day. We had a pleasant pony rides there. People are nice and warm.

Overall the trip was good, hotels were given as promised. The cab service was too good, we just loved the way the driver took care of us and the entire trip. The food was good overall except for the hotel in pahalgam. We could see all the places as promised in the itinerary. However, the shikara trip did not go well as they told we signed the voucher the previous day and hence that is counted as trip, in reality, they just dropped us near house boat and stopped for lunch which was counted as complimentary one hour ride. Heater was not available on house boat, which was given after our agent spoke. The hotel in katra was huge disappointment. But the travel agency was friendly and reachable.
