4 Star Resorts In Andaman
Resorts in Andaman: rated 4.1/5 (based on 5 reviews) | Scaled down to 5
The best beach and luxury resorts in Andaman sit on three islands, and picking the right one decides your whole trip. Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) has the marquee sand and the top-end names, Neil (Shaheed Dweep) is the quieter, cheaper alternative, and Port Blair keeps you close to the airport and the ferry jetty.
TravelTriangle lists hand-picked sea-view resorts across all three, with real per-night rates from Rs 3,500, and every stay can be booked on its own or folded into a customisable Andaman package. This page compares them by island, by beach, and by budget so you book the right resort the first time, not the one with the loudest listing.

Luxury beach resorts in Havelock (Swaraj Dweep)
If you only book one island, book Havelock. Radhanagar Beach (Beach No.7) is the wide, west-facing curve that lands on every "best beaches in Asia" list, and it is where everyone gathers for the sunset. The catch is that almost no resort sits directly on Radhanagar itself, so the top stays cluster a short drive away near Govind Nagar and Vijaynagar (Beach No.5), then run you over for the sunset.
The names Havelock is known for
At the top end, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa sits on the Radhanagar side with private villas and a spa, and is the island's benchmark 5-star (indicative from Rs 35,000/night). Barefoot at Havelock is the well-known eco-luxury option set back in the forest behind Beach No.7. SeaShell Havelock and Symphony Samudra cover the mid-luxury band with pools and sea-view rooms. Name-checking them matters because these are the resorts a Havelock searcher is actually choosing between.
What you can book here through TravelTriangle
• Haywizz Havelock Island Resort sits near Govind Nagar from Rs 3,500 a night. It is the value pick, with sea-view rooms, a short walk to the market, and an easy first Andaman stay.
• Munjoh Ocean Resort near Beach No.5 runs from Rs 8,000 a night and operates its own dive centre. Book it if diving and snorkelling are the point of the trip.
• Seashell Havelock near Govind Nagar runs from Rs 7,845 a night, with a pool and family rooms. It is the comfortable mid-luxury middle ground.
For a full island primer (ferries, dive sites, day trips), see our Andaman travel guide.
Beach resorts in Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)
Neil is Havelock's slower, cheaper cousin, about a 1 to 1.5 hour ferry further out. Laxmanpur Beach draws the sunset crowd and Sitapur (the "sunrise beach") sits on the far tip, with the natural rock bridge at Howrah Bridge Beach in between. Resorts here are smaller and quieter, and the rates drop accordingly.
• Aquays Hotels & Resorts, Shaheed Dweep is a short drive from Laxmanpur, from Rs 3,500 a night. It is our own pick and one you will not find on most best-resorts lists, a calm, walkable base for a night or two on Neil.
For context on the wider Neil market, SeaShell Neil, Summer Sands Beach Resort and Pearl Park Beach Resort are the other names you will see; most travellers pair one Neil night with two or three on Havelock.
Resorts in Port Blair
Port Blair is the arrival city and the ferry hub, so a night here at the start or end of the trip saves you a stressful early morning. Corbyn's Cove is the town beach; Marine Hill and the harbour give you the sea-view rooms.
• Sea Princess Beach Resort near Corbyn's Cove runs from Rs 6,275 a night, sea-facing and close to the airport and Cellular Jail. That makes it the natural first or last night of an Andaman trip.
At the premium end, Port Blair also has WelcomHotel by ITC, Bay Island, Sinclairs Bay View and Silver Sand Beach Resort, useful to know when you are comparing a city stay against heading straight to the islands.
What a premium Andaman beach resort gets you
"Resort" covers a lot of ground in Andaman, from a Rs 3,500 sea-view room to a Rs 35,000 private villa. Here is what actually separates the tiers, so you pay for the things you will use.
• Sea-view vs beachfront. Most "beach resorts" are a 2 to 10 minute walk from the sand, not on it. True beachfront is rare and priced for it. Check the exact distance, not the label.
• On-site dive centre. Havelock resorts like Munjoh run their own PADI diving. A beginner Discover Scuba runs around Rs 3,500 and you are back for lunch. Worth booking a resort that has this in-house.
• Pool and spa. Standard at mid-luxury and up (SeaShell, Symphony, Taj Exotica); not a given at value resorts. Matters most if you are travelling with kids or want a rest day.
• Airport and ferry transfers. Island logistics eat time. A resort or package that includes jetty pickups is worth more than the headline rate suggests.
Best time to visit and book for the best rate
Go between November and April for calm seas, clear water for diving, and reliable ferries. December to mid-January is peak, and resort rates and flights climb hardest over Christmas and New Year, so book those six to eight weeks out. The shoulder weeks of November and February to April give you the same weather for less. May to September brings the monsoon, choppy crossings and the year's lowest rates if you do not mind rain. Full month-by-month detail is in our Andaman travel guide.
Resort packages, compared
Most travellers book the resort as part of a package with flights, ferries and transfers handled. These are the common shapes, all customisable.
| Package type | Nights | From Rs (per person) | Best for | Key inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andaman honeymoon | 5N/6D | Rs 16,000 | Couples | Havelock + Neil, candlelight dinner, transfers |
| Andaman family | 5N/6D | Rs 15,000 | Families with kids | 3-star/4-star resorts, ferries, sightseeing |
| Beach & islands | 4N/5D | Rs 14,000 | First-timers | Port Blair + Havelock, Radhanagar day trip |
| Luxury Andaman | 6N/7D | Rs 52,000 | Premium stays | 5-star resorts, private transfers, spa |

How to choose the right Andaman resort
Four quick lenses. Read the one that fits and skip the rest.
• By who is travelling. Couples lean Havelock or a quiet Neil night; families want a pool and adjoining rooms (SeaShell, Seashell Havelock). For a honeymoon build, see Andaman honeymoon packages.
• By budget. Value sits at Rs 3,500-4,500 (Haywizz, Aquays), mid-luxury at Rs 6,000-9,000 (Seashell, Munjoh, Sea Princess), and true 5-star from Rs 18,000+ (Barefoot, Taj Exotica). Set the band first, then pick the island.
• By island. Havelock for the best beaches and the top resorts, Neil for quiet and lower rates, Port Blair for airport and jetty convenience. Two Havelock nights plus one on Neil or Port Blair is the standard split.
• By season. Book November to April for the weather; use February to April shoulder weeks for the same conditions at lower rates. Full detail in the Andaman travel guide.
What to pack for an Andaman resort trip
Island-specific, not generic. A short list of the things people forget.
• Reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard (regular sunscreen is banned near several reefs).
• Quick-dry clothes and swimwear, plus flip-flops you can walk a jetty in.
• A power bank and offline maps, since mobile data is patchy on Havelock and Neil, and BSNL is the most reliable network.
• Enough cash for ferry and permit counters and small resorts; ATMs are few outside Port Blair.
• Any ID needed for the ferry booking; Indian nationals do not need a permit, foreign nationals should check the current rule.
Why book your Andaman resort with TravelTriangle
Every resort on this page is booked through a network of verified local Andaman agents, not a faceless inventory feed. That means the itinerary is customisable down to the day, the sea-view room you booked is the one confirmed, and there is a real person to call when a ferry gets cancelled. Reviews come from travellers who actually booked, ratings sit on the listing, and pricing is shown per night up front so there is no surprise at checkout. Over 40 Lakh travellers have booked with TravelTriangle since 2011, and our Andaman desk handles hundreds of island trips every quarter.
From our Andaman desk
"On Havelock, book a resort near Govind Nagar and keep Radhanagar for a late-afternoon trip, not a stay. Almost nothing sits on Beach No.7 itself, and the sunset run is 15 minutes," says our Andaman resort desk.
Rates and inclusions on this page are checked by our Andaman desk against the live booking feed before every update.

FAQ’s
What are the best beach resorts in Andaman?
On Havelock, the mid-luxury picks are SeaShell Havelock, Munjoh Ocean Resort and Symphony Samudra, with Barefoot and Taj Exotica at the luxury end. On Neil, Aquays and SeaShell Neil are the calm, lower-priced options, and in Port Blair, Sea Princess sits sea-facing near Corbyn's Cove. Which is "best" depends on your island and budget, compared side by side above.
How much does a resort in Andaman cost per night?
Value sea-view resorts start around ₹3,500 per night (Haywizz on Havelock, Aquays on Neil). Mid-luxury stays with a pool run ₹6,000 to ₹9,000 (Seashell Havelock, Munjoh, Sea Princess), and true 5-star resorts like Barefoot and Taj Exotica start from ₹18,000 and climb past ₹35,000 in peak season. Rates are highest from Christmas to mid-January.
Which island should I pick, Havelock, Neil or Port Blair?
Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) has the best beaches and the top resorts and suits most first trips. Neil (Shaheed Dweep) is quieter and cheaper, good for a slow night or two. Port Blair is the airport and ferry hub, best for your arrival or departure night. The common split is two or three nights on Havelock plus one on Neil or Port Blair.
Which Andaman resorts have a private beach or sea-facing pool?
True private beachfront is rare in Andaman; most "beach resorts" are a short walk from the sand. Taj Exotica and Barefoot on Havelock come closest to a private-beach feel, while SeaShell Havelock, Symphony Samudra and Sea Princess in Port Blair have sea-facing pools. Always check the exact distance from the room to the water before booking.
Are there 5-star or luxury resorts in Andaman?
Yes. Taj Exotica Resort & Spa on Havelock is the benchmark 5-star, with Barefoot at Havelock as the eco-luxury alternative and WelcomHotel by ITC, Bay Island in Port Blair. Luxury rates typically start from ₹18,000 per night and rise in peak season. You can book these as a standalone stay or inside a luxury Andaman package.
Which Andaman resorts are best for families with kids?
Look for a pool, adjoining or family rooms, and an easy beach. Seashell Havelock and Symphony Samudra on Havelock fit well, and Sea Princess in Port Blair is convenient with young children because it is close to the airport. Havelock also keeps the ferry legs short, which helps with kids.
