New Zealand Trekking Package

For adventure enthusiasts, New Zealand presents a perfect merger of misted mountains and emerald creeks that form a wonderful setup to start a trekking excursion. You might experience several jaw-dropping sites across the nation which are truly wrapped in nature and its miracles.
The best aspect about New Zealand trekking holidays is the diversity in the landscape which is suitable for hikers of all sorts. If you are aiming to explore the lush green forests and primeval mountainous patches, make sure to start with certain specific trekking destinations.

Below mentioned are the top five implausible trekking spots for people who are wanting to fulfill their desire to accomplish exquisite natural views from pristine locations.

  • Abel Tasman Coast Track, Abel Tasman National Park, South Island Almost 30 miles from the golden sand beaches and granite cliffs, you will get to access this beautiful coastal track. The presence of clear sapphire waters in the background indeed drops a magical spell. The Abel Tasman Coast Track is marked as the least vigorous treks among the iconic Great Walks of New Zealand. The duration to cover this patch requires 2-5 days, through a one-way track. On the way, hikers will get to analyze grassy fern and manuka groves across empty shores perfect for setting up a camping site. You can spend your afternoons swimming, diving, surfing and spotting birds across the shore.
  • Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Tongariro National Park, North Island If you are a fan of the Lord of The Rings series, Tongariro National Park is known to be the land of Mordor in the dark. During the moody weather, the sharp volcanic rocks along with steep climbs remind of an uncanny sense of sinister. However, on a fairly clear day, tourist can get to view Mt. Ngauruhoe or Mount Doom during the overall course of this 12-mile hike. One of the famous attractions of this trek is the Red Crater that holds geothermally warmed waters from the Emerald Lakes. In order to keep yourself entertained, you can access a variety of activities during this trip which includes fishing, biking, rafting; the winter season can be actively utilized for skiing and snowboarding.
  • Buck Taylor Track Loop, Karekare, North Island This is one of the rarest and unconventional New Zealand trekking holidays you can ask for. The Waitakere Ranges can be reached within forty-five minutes after west of Auckland. Hikers would be blessed to experience the boisterous Tasman Sea and downhill sections that are simply breathtaking. You will further get to access views of towering Manuka and fern trees that are suitable to camp across the banked sections of black sand dunes. What more? Hikers will be tranquilized once they hit Karekare Beach after crossing the rocky tunnel; this region is perfect to observe seals crawl onto rocky perches. River crossing, swimming, fishing, etc., are the major activities that can be done in the wilderness which is part of this North Island trekking trail.
  • Mt. Victoria Trails, Wellington, North Island People who are fond of accessing a city hike can cover Mt. Victoria trails that comprise of semi-wild emerald hills and rugged paths. These trails are easily reachable through the city’s center, thereby, attracting numerous hikers. You can start with the Southern Walkway which stretched to about 6.8-miles and will make you travel through thick canopy including several shooting locations from Lord of the Rings. Later on, you can even hit the path to accomplish the Mount Victoria’s summit in order to attain the best view of Wellington. Cycling and bird watching are the prime activities which you can cherish during this peaceful trek.
  • Mueller Hut Route, Mount Cook National Park, South Island Every year thousands of tourists access Mount Cook, which is tagged as New Zealand’s tallest peak (12,316 feet). It is one of the popular options when considering New Zealand trekking holidays, both for locals and international tourists. The glaciated terrain rising from the imposing path of Mueller Hut offers views of the high alpine plateau. It is a three-mile climb starting from the valley floor that permits access to the cheerful blue glacial pools. Swimming in ice-cold water, mountain climbing, horse riding, etc., are the most preferred outdoor activities you can easily try near Mount Cook.

Tourists need to carefully mark the weather transformations in New Zealand, which are indeed quite unpredictable. For having a good trekking experience, it is recommended to start the trail during the spring months between September and November. For overnight treks like the Mueller Hut Route, this period is the best to enjoy a pleasant star gaze.

If you are visiting any of the above mentioned New Zealand trekking spots on your New Zealand trekking holidays, it is essential to gather information related to transport and dining destinations. Each of these places is suitably connected via cars, buses and even ferries. Furthermore, the convenience to travel from nearby airports is a major benefit to foreign travelers.

Ranjitha's 7 days trip to New Zealand

Travel Triangle helped me plan my honeymoon trip to New Zealand. We were in touch with Raunak, a gem of a person. I gave him an itinerary based on my research and interests (of my husband and I). Raunak included almost all those in our itinerary, booked fantastic hotels, and made great arrangements. He had informed the hotels beforehand that it was our honeymoon and so we got cute little surprises in some of the hotels. He also arranged our visas on time, gave phone numbers to coordinate with for hotels/sight-seeing/cabs (we didn't need it because everything was smooth and prompt), and also helped us book our flight tickets. He was available to clarify our doubts. This was a wonderful vacation for us, all thanks to Travel Triangle!

Priyadarshini's 16 days trip to New Zealand

I, Jayant Limaye, aged 63, along with my wife Jyotsna, embarked on a journey to Australia and New Zealand spanning from December 18th to January 29th. We opted for a self-driven tour organized by Wonder Bird Holidays, masterfully curated by their representative, Mr. Raunak. Mr. Raunak ensured meticulous planning, covering every detail, from plane tickets to hotel bookings and internal tour visits. The arrangement was so impeccable that we never had any idle moments, as each destination was thoughtfully designed step by step to eliminate any potential challenges. Right from the outset, Mr. Raunak comprehensively explained every aspect of the tour, including plane timings, vehicle pick-up and drop-off schedules, weather conditions at each location, clothing recommendations, coordination with local tours, their timings, approach locations, and parking conditions. The offered 3-to-4-star hotels were of excellent quality, strategically located in city centers for convenient travel. Mr. Raunak conducted a thorough review of the entire tour, addressing all our queries well before its commencement. He remained consistently available via phone to provide guidance. An instance highlighting his proactive approach occurred during our journey from Wanaka to Mount Cook in New Zealand. Faced with an indefinite road closure, Mr. Raunak promptly informed us and suggested an alternative route, allowing us to reach Mount Cook at 5 PM instead of 1 PM, unlike other travelers who waited in Omarama and arrived at 8:30 PM. We commend Mr. Raunak for his swift and decisive actions on that day. His regular check-ins, inquiries about our location and well-being, and unwavering cooperation compelled us to give him a perfect score of 100 out of 100. Thanks to the exceptional service of the Wonder Bird Holidays team, particularly Mr. Raunak, our tour was not only enjoyable but also hassle-free. For anyone contemplating a trip to Australia and New Zealand, we wholeheartedly recommend Wonder Bird Holidays. Once again, heartfelt thanks to Wonder Bird Holidays and Mr. Raunak for crafting such a beautiful and memorable tour experience. Regards, Jayant Limaye. Jayant Limaye HAD A VERY MEMORABLE AND PLEASANT JOURNEY WITH WANDERBIRD AND TRAVEL TRIANGLE

I am from Hyderabad and had contacted Raunak from Wanderbirds online. At first i was a little hesitant in booking from someone online, but as things went forward i can vouch for this guy. Always available on call and ready to help at every point. I must have called him everyday on my trip to NewZealand for something or the other and the response was quick all the time. The trip was very smooth and every minute detail was taken care of and planned well. I am from Hyderabad and had contacted Raunak from Wanderbirds online. This is the 3rd trip that I have booked through Travel Triangle and as always they have delivered on my expectations. The agents that we connected to - WanderBird, helped us to draft a beautiful itinerary and took care of every little detail due to which the trip was extremely smooth without hiccups. I highly recommend Travel Triangle to travel without hassles. Every experience in New Zealand was unique and very well crafted by the agents as per our requirements. Some of the highlights of our trip were visiting the Hobbiton movie set, hooker valley trek and Bungy jumping. We thoroughly enjoyed the driving through New Zealand and ending our trip with a short stay in Sydney.

I would like to thank the team of HubHoliday ,Mr.Amit Rana in particular and Mr.Vikas as well, for making our honeymoon trip a wonderful memory for the lifetime. The itinerary was perfect to cover both North and South Island highlights in 10days and was also a mix of romantic & adventure getaways. The best memories of the trip are as follows: -Kaituna river rafting -Hobbiton set -Tranz Alpine train from Greymouth to Christchurch -Self drive -Milford sound cruise However,I would like HubHoliday to consider the following points as well in order to improve upon the package offered : - The package cost can be revised as I felt after the trip was over that if I had booked all the hotels/flights/activities/transfers given by HubHoliday all by myself, the package cost would come around 3.25/3.5lakhs in total for 2 persons instead of 4 lakhs - the breakup being : Flights international/domestic and visa : around 1.25 lakhs , car in both islands : 15000 ,hotels : around75000 ,activities :around 1lakh . - The hotel in Christchurch should have been better:room was too clumsy for 2 people Anyways,I would definitely go with the friendly HubHoliday team in near future as well given the interest shown by them to improve further once I gave my feedback to them on the package cost. Regards Bhargav -Kaituna river rafting -Hobbiton set -Tranz Alpine train from Greymouth to Christchurch -Self drive -Milford sound cruise

Travel Triangle and hub holidays helped us to plan and customize our tour. We had a really good experience. All the hotels were good. Queens Town properties had a mesmerizing scenic lake and glacier view. We received all the vouchers timely and did not face any issue during our trip. All our hotels were in the central location except for fox glaciar one. We did not have a very good experience with visa however which was done by travel relations. They were not aware of the documents and type of visa and kept bugging us but travel triangle was able to sort it out. Queens town apartments and the view. Glacier helicopter ride Franz joseph Milford cruise and the waterfalls Driving in new Zealand Indian food in new Zealand . It is comparable to indian restaurants.

We booked our New Zealand through travel traingle and hub holidays. Our plan was customised as per our requirements . Hotels, flights, meal, activities , self drive car everything was good. We did not face any issue during our trip. The only set back was Franz Joseph hotel which was 30 mins away from the main city. Other then that everything was good. We did not have a good experience with the visa team though. They were not aware of all the documents needed and we're not even aware that new Zealand tourist visa is an e visa for Indians, we being in Bangalore had to send them documents couple of time. Also they were rude no customer obsession. The 1 start that I have deducted is solely for travel relations the visa company. At one point we felt we could have done processing for our visa and it would have been much faster. But the experience we had with travel traingle and hub holidays is 5*. New Zealand and it's beauty. Self drive with Toyota RAWA Spinnaker's bay apartment Glaciar ride with snow landing Milford sound trip
