Badrinath's 5 days trip to Sri Lanka

My trip to SL was over all amazing and what’s promised in the trip was covered. 5 days trip was very friendly and stayed in Anuradhapura, Sirigia, N. Ellla, Colombo. Country is very safe and people are friendly and didn’t encountered any issues. Perfectly safe and friendly. Mr. Fernando was was the face of our travel and made customisations to my trip and was easy and simple. Our trip advisor/driver Mr, Duminda was friendly and was taking care of us which is very key for a successful trip as he was the translator in many parts of the trip.. Over all hotel stays and the food in hotels were very good and enjoyed a lot, I would recommend anyone travelling to Srilanka with Travaco … cost effective and genuine trip advisor…. Comfortable private car Good chauffeur and friendly Overall good experience and memorable trip. Thanks Mr. Fernando & Duminda for making us feel at home Srilanka

Aniket's 12 days trip to Sri Lanka

Experiencing the beauty of Sri Lanka was truly captivating. From lush landscapes to vibrant culture, every moment was a journey of discovery. The amazing stays in hotels added a touch of luxury, creating a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Each accommodation was a haven, offering not just a place to rest but a destination within itself. Sri Lanka, with its warm hospitality and stunning accommodations, etched unforgettable memories in every traveler's heart. Sigiriya Rock: Scaling ancient heights, Sigiriya's majestic rock unveiled history's secrets. Anuradhapura: Stepping into time, sacred city echoes with tales of ancient grandeur. Kandy: Temple of the Tooth resonates with spirituality, Kandy's heart pulsates with cultural splendor. Nuwara Eliya: Amidst tea gardens, Nuwara Eliya unfolds a Kashmir-like haven of serenity. Yala: Wild wonders at Yala National Park, where nature's symphony takes center stage. Mirisaa: Beachside bliss at Mirissa, where sunsets paint the sky in hues of enchantment. Bentota: Riverside retreat in Bentota, a tranquil haven for water enthusiasts. Colombo: The bustling heart of Colombo, where modernity meets Sri Lanka's vibrant past.

Anil's 11 days trip to Sri Lanka

We undertook 11 days tour of Sri Lanka from 29th Feb to 10th March 2020 and visited Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Mirissa, Bentota and Colombo. The entire tour was well planned by the travel agency and it was quite comfortable tour. Taxi driver with luxurious sedan was with us for the entire tour from day one and provided Sim card for connectivity and also worked as guide. We stayed for 2 days at certain places but no local sightseeing on the first day was arranged by the Agency. At some places food was not to our taste. In all tour was very satisfying and comfortable.

Vijay's 8 days trip to Sri Lanka

The services of N Tour were very good The owner Mr Nadeesh is very efficient. We found the cab driver Mustafa a very capable driver, punctual and a great help throughout our visit. Sigriya and Anuradhapura were historically very interesting places. The Stupas and other ancient buildings were well maintained. The museum was quite good. The Sigriya Lion Rock climb though demanding physically was exciting. We found Kandy a very attractive city and Nuwara Eliya an excellent hill station. Overall Sri Lanka is a very clean country and the tourists are well looked after.

Gunasundari's 6 days trip to Sri Lanka

Gihan from Neelum was doing the co-ordination since we planned. Perfect planning and executed by the cheaffuer Mr Chathur. A real good ambassador of Srilanka, who ensured that we get the best of Srilanka. Starting from pickingup and ensuring that we don't miss any places, he was at his best. We made the plan of 6 days hectic, having to stay at different locations ( towns ) , daily. We covered Anuradhapura, Polannurawa, Minnerva Wild Life Park, Sigirya, Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya ( by train ), Bentota and finally Colombo., all in 6 days. The planning was good and the execution was perfect. Thanks to Mr Chathur and Mr Gihan. Great Job .!

Pk's 8 days trip to Sri Lanka

I am Singaporean and my name is PK. Our Trip started in Colombo Airport and Ended there. We travelled as a couple with a child less than 5 yrs old. The itinerary by Suresh Fernando is ok. Asanka our chauffeur is a good man and he is safety conscious while driving and the Toyota van is in good condition and the poor man was following instructions from Tour East Lanka on itinerary and taking us to tourist traps. We hired a guide at Anuradhapura and Kandy Tooth Temple; while the guide at Anuradhapura was good, the guide at Kandy was unnecessary we felt. Overall I would say that this trip of 7N8D made us feel like we visited a "Surprisingly Beautiful Sri Lanka", with some tourist traps that are laid with the help of Travel Companies like Tour East Lanka and these tourist traps are surviving with the help of Travel agents ! I booked a Travel Agent because I wanted protection from Tourist traps and wanted professionalism. Unfortunately, TE Lanka and all Travel Agents are hand in glove with Tourist Traps it appears and there is no professionalism! (Memory) Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla Cave Temple, Nuwara Eliya are the locations we loved and would repeat if possible! Yala is so-so although we spotted the elusive leopards within 5 min from the entrance. Kandy also is not so great except for the Tooth Temple. The best thing about Sri Lanka are the people in smaller towns; all of them had a nice smile and were very welcoming. People at Colombo and Kandy had no smile on their face; may be they are rushing through the rat race and are just delivering their job without passion. Great country and Great people and also many tourist traps! The Spice gardens, Mask factory, Batik Factory and the Tea factory are tourist traps. We bought Glenloch Tea from their factory and realized after reaching home that it has no MFD date or Batch No or EXP date. The Batik and masks are available at a fraction of the price at the airport! Hence, I suggest that Tour East Lanka remove such unprofessional sellers from their itinerary and maintain some professionalism. This is the fault of the Management of Tour East Lanka for asking the trainee agent Suresh to include such unprofessional items in the itinerary. I strongly recommend that TE Lanka and other travel agents remove Tourists Traps from their itinerary and include Airport Shopping like Prasanna Batik, Global Hands, ODEL and LAKSALA which are professional companies in the Itinerary ! In the end we probably wasted about 100 USD because of these tourist traps ! The Kandy Cultural Show is a farce! They charge 1000 LKR per person and round the year they have 1000 seats per day. That is at least 300 Million rupees Income per annum. In-spite of that, the performers ask for Tips meaning that they are not paid well. Most of the money goes into the pockets of the Organizers who are the Travel agents association it appears; this I think because there is another Cultural Show next to what we visited and that one is for walk-in guests who do not have travel agents and there are touts around that one. Hope my comments are useful in cleaning up the Sri Lankan tourist sector a little. Sri Lanka with its ancient history, people from small towns are an asset. The tour operators and tourist traps are heavily cartelized and are a shame on this rich culture and heritage. In spite of these bad experiences, I still recommend Tour East Lanka, Driver Asanka was excellent and Agent Suresh is a good employee. This is because it was my fault that I fell for the traps and paid more money. I could have bargained a lot. CHEERS, PK, SINGAPORE
