Jayaraj talks about his escape to Andaman that he took with his 6 other friends. He elaborates on the adventures they had and also on the scenic and natural charm of the islands. He booked their package from TravelTriangle and it included their transfers, meals, and hotels – all for a cost of INR 48,300.
This was a spur of the moment plan and like all spur of the moment plans, it turned out to be a great adventure. My friends and I had wanted a quick short holiday and Andaman turned out to be the perfect destination because of its close proximity to Chennai.
Now all we needed was a package to Andaman and that was all sorted thanks to TravelTriangle. Since I had previously taken a trip with them, I was sure TravelTriangle would be able to customize our trip once again as per our needs and true their promise, they did. We got really good quotes for our package.
Now that everything was done, all we had to do now was to wait for our holiday to begin!
Day 1: Arrival in Andaman
14 Secrets That Andaman Has Been Keeping To Itself
We boarded our flight from Chennai and were supposed to reach Port Blair by 9:30 a.m however due to some delay reached there by 11. At the airport, we spotted the travel representative – Samarth from Holiday Guide – the ageny we chose from TravelTriangle and he took us to our hotel.
We rested at our hotel for 2-3 hours before proceeding on for sightseeing in Andaman as per our itinerary. The first stop was Cellular Jail and we got an insight into past life and times of Andaman.
There was a light and sound show planned after this but we decided to skip it for a visit to the Corbyns Cove Beach.
This was a small beach with a very nice ambience. We felt as if time had slowed down and spending time here with my friends in the lap of nature truly felt blissful.
Post this, we returned to our hotel, roamed around on our own and then called it a night.

Day 2: A wonderful experience in Baratang
This was the day we were to visit Baratang – a place famous for mangroves and limestone caves.
At 9 a.m, we all got ready and proceeded for our destination. To reach this place, we had to pass through a restricted section of a forest since it was home to Jarawa tribe. We even caught a glimpse of a few members of the tribe something, which is of a rarity in the area.
Next was a ride through the Mangroves forest which was a mind-blowing journey. We truly felt the tropical vibe here and it was as if we were inside an Anaconda movie. This was followed by a short trek through the caves and forest which was again very adventurous. Finally, we reached our destination and witnessed the amazing limestone caves, had lunch and then ended the visit with a trip to the mud volcano.
We went back the same route and once again, we saw members of the tribe and this it appeared as if there was a whole family standing.
We later retired to our room and slept off the tiredness.
Day 3: Scuba diving and Havelock
His 20 Heavenly Images From Andaman Will Completely Sweep You Off Your Feet
We visited the North Bay Island today where we indulged in Scuba Diving. It was an awesome experience and the time spent underwater felt surreal and magical. Post this, as per the itinerary, we took a ferry to Havelock and reached there by 6 p.m.
Upon reaching Havelock, we were transferred to our resort. Since we were all tired by the day’s activities, we all relaxed and called it a night.
Day 4: Relaxing at the Radhanagar beach
We visited the famous Radhanagar beach today and was fun. The whole ambience of the place was beautiful and with picturesque views all around, it felt blissful to be here with friends. All of us spent quite a lot of time here and were reluctant to return to our resort even after 4-5 hours of staying here.
In the evening, we checked out of our hotel and took a Makruzz ferry ride to Port Blair which was once again a nice experience.
Upon our arrival in Port Blair, we were transferred to our resort.

We later checked out of the hotel and proceeded to the airport for our fight at 1:30 p.m.
The whole experience of visiting Andaman with my friends was an awesome one. We loved the natural ambience of the place and it was perfect for us to spend quality time with each other – away from all the hassles of the world.
We explored a lot on this trip and in our exploration, had a lot of fun. Andaman will forever remain in our memories and we hope to return to this exotic destination once again!
