How to Reach The Hofburg

Since it lies in the centre of the town you can reach this place by public transportation or the underground rail system.

In fact the entrance to the museum is situated below the great copper dome. All the major attractions including the Imperial apartments, silver collection and Sisi museum are open all throughout the week and this includes the public holidays as well. From September to June it is open from 9 in the morning to 5.30 in the evening, though through the rest of the year the opening time is the same but the closing time stretches to 6 in the evening.

The ticket office tends to close at 4.30 pm whereas the visit of the silver collection is only possible till 5 in the evening. If there are more than 10 persons with you then a reservation is needed. As visitors you are not allowed to carry any bulky objects with you and this may extend to luggage in the form of suitcase of two wheelers.
