One of the most splendid European countries, Greece has over 2000 islands out of which 160 are inhabited by people. Full of rich historical and architectural marvels, ancient ruins, golden mountains, and mammoth beaches, this country is often addressed as the ‘Cradle of Ancient Civilization.
Greece family packages are booked throughout the year because this destination is much loved by people from all over the world.

An intriguing reason to visit Greece is that some of its landmarks date back to the 5th- Century B.C. One can also not miss Santorini, one of the party resorts of Mykonos. The overall vibe of this country is that of fun, frolic, party, and excitement. Acropolis and Parthenon are ancient marvels, which one can enjoy visiting when in Greece.

Best Places To Visit When Booking Greece family packages

1. Acropolis

Dominating Athen’s skyline, Acropolis is the top attraction of the country and usually a part of Greece family packages. The most famous point of identification here is the statue of Athena- the goddess of Athens. The ancient architecture with Doric columns is spellbinding.

2. Lake Plastira

Located in the Lardista region of Greece, Lake Plastira is a natural gem in the country. You cannot guess that it’s a manmade lake because of its splendor, which is as glorious as a natural lake. The beauty of this lake is heightened by oak and chestnut trees that surround the lake. Another interesting aspect for tourists is horse riding and hiking trails available around the lake.

3. Santorini

Known as the Island of Thira, Santorini is a haven for tourists in terms of beauty and relaxation. It is not uncommon to find people calling it one of the most beautiful places on the face of this Earth. You will find postcard-perfect sights here, especially the Cycladic homes that are synonymous with Santorini.

4. Delphi

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Delphi was a popular pilgrimage spot in the good old days. Tourists still come here to pay homage to the ancient Greek God of healing, prophecy, music, and light- Apollo. Here, one will also find a stadium and temple where people seek guidance and blessing from the Oracle at Delphi. It is about 180 km from the city of Athens, a great way to explore the country’s outskirts.

5. Hephaestus Temple

In the Thissio neighborhood of Athens is the Hephaestus Temple. It dates back to 450 BC and is located on the Agoreao Koronos Hill. This temple is made by the same architect who designed the Pantheon. This temple is dedicated to Hephaestus, the God of fire.

Best Time To Visit

Keep in mind the weather conditions in the country while booking Greece family packages.

Shoulder Season

Spring (April- Early June)

This is a fun time to visit Greece. A shoulder season, which is that time in between the off and peak holiday season, you will find hotels and flights at great prices during this time. The wildflowers are in full bloom during this time and this can be the best time to experience the true, natural beauty of Greece without crowds flocking the country.

Autumn (September- October)

This is a time of mild weather in Greece. The sunsets and the beaches are particularly splendid during this time. Enjoy visiting restaurants and wineries without having to deal with overwhelming crowds and sweltering heat.

Peak Season

Summer (Late June- Early September)

This is the peak holiday season to visit Greece. Also, this time can be attributed to the maximum sales of Greece family packages. The most famous destinations like Santorini, Mykonos, and Rhodes are buzzing with tourists and people can often be spotted enjoying summertime pleasure. Despite the temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius, visitors are spotted smiling wide during this time. The glitzy nightlife is also one of the pulls for the crowd during this time.

How To Reach

One can easily reach Greece from India by air. All major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru have direct flights to Athens’ Elefthérios Venizélos International Airport in Athens running at a high frequency. While booking Greece family packages, you can take a flight from any major carriers flying at a time well-suited for you. The flights are direct as well as connecting. Once you reach Athens, you can hop on to other islands by road (buses or cabs) or take the train.

I have used travel triangle before so my expectations were high for Greece trip. I had requested 4star hotel but got 3star accommodation & the ambience was below average in Athens. Mykonos as good. Santorini hotel could have been better as the tap water was too salty to freshen up Islands & associat
ed trips were great

I generally plan my own trips but this time choose TT. I specially liked that we were given driver and car for pickup and drop for every transit and I didn't have to drag my luggage in the public transport.. also they were constantly in touch with us thru WhatsApp and flexible to make changes based
on our plan (until the last momemt). If I compare my much would have I saved if I planned everything on my own vs using TT the difference is not that much when compared to the comfort I got.

1. Excellent suggestion on the Travel Agent options. 2. Payment terms and modality of installments is user friendly. 3. It is probably the mandate of travel triangle to facilitate the travel schedule chosen by the customer. Perfect. Wish some inputs are mildly/indirectly provided by Travel Triangle
in future to the prospective customers on the validity of their travel dates as far as tour season in the destination is concerned. If the travel dates fall in low season period, the shops are 90% closed, the internal transfers/ mode of travel (e.g ferries in Greece for the travel between islands get shut down in the low season period). 4. Hope there exist efforts from Travel Triangle to get the partnered agents in one room and train them of certain policy aspects . I am confident the top mgmt at Travel Triangle is aware about this. There is increased trend in higher middle class for aportioning funds for international travel and more over distinctly pronounced trend ( at least in Mahatrashtra) to avoid travelling thru big tour-arranging companies where the cotravellers don't exactly wear compatible mind-sets. Such travellers need more design inputs while deciding on the travel period for a given location. Hope above feed back would be taken in right perspective . Thanks for your time Dr. Uday B Gokhale, 9820830461

Took a week long family trip to Greece planned by Ishita and executed by Ishan from MTP vacations. Overall great experience. Pros: Ishita from sales side was quite flexible in tailoring our trip to Greece and accommodated most of my inputs towards locations, length of stay, hotels etc., Quote g
iven was quite competitive compared to peers. Ishan from operations side stayed on top of our itinerary throughout our stay providing pickup co-ordinates, driver and stay details. Got us upgraded to better travel modes as needed to ensure our schedules won't go astray, made us positively surprised and appreciated. Was available on phone, chat through the stay to ensure our travel experience is not compromised. Cons/Improvement areas: Minor discomforts were to wait for end of the day to know exact details of next day's plans.. Though nothing went off-track majorly, couple of schedule changes were done (of course for a better experience), but weren't communicated till late. While we were able to take it in our stride and play along, might not be the case for others . Both the above are more for ppl who don't like surprises in schedules, especially bit older travelers. Sales team were able to accommodate my asks on locations, however would be great if they are forthcoming with such family friendly options for uninitiated travelers. But Overall lovely family vacation enabled by MTP team!! Keep up the good work...
