Best Time To Visit Kedarnath

Kedarnath is one of the holiest shrines in India.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is the highest of the 12 “Jyotirlingas,” where Shiva manifests as an ever-burning radiant light. Embark on a transcendental journey to this sacred place, surrounded by its divine aura. The climate of Kedarnath can be described as cold and wet, receiving a lot of rain. Therefore, most pilgrims visit Kedarnath during the summer season. The best time to visit Kedarnath is from April to June, when the rains are milder and less frequent, and the temperatures aren’t freezing cold.

Even in ‘summer’, the weather is chilly during the mornings and evenings, and only the afternoon sun provides relief. The winter cold cuts to the bone, and Kedarnath Temple is closed off. The temple is open only between April and November. The Char Dham pilgrimage also starts once all the holy shrines are opened after winter. The Badri Kedar Festival, which celebrates the union of Lord Vishnu (Badrinath) and Lord Shiva (Kedarnath), is also organised in June, making it the best time to visit Kedarnath temple and make a pilgrimage to the Char Dhams.

Sourasrib's 2 days trip to Kedarnath

We had a fantastic family trip to Badrinath at August'25 last week, arranged by Navicrow Holidays through Travel Triangle. Our journey started and ended in Haridwar, and the entire experience was memorable. The hotels provided were in very convenient locations and were also budget-friendly, which made it easy for us to explore the attractions. The support we received from the team was exceptional. Our agent, Mr. Aman Yadav, and tour coordinator, Mr. Yash, were incredibly helpful and in constant touch with us and our cab driver Mr. Himanshu was excellent. This was especially reassuring during an unexpected situation. On our return journey from Joshimath, we had to tackle landslides, which prevented us from reaching Rishikesh. However, thanks to their quick and efficient coordination, we were provided with a comfortable hotel in Rudraprayag instead. Despite the natural calamity, the team handled the situation with great professionalism. Overall, we had a wonderful and stress-free experience, and we are very grateful to the team for all their help.

M's 7 days trip to Kedarnath

    1. One day as a stand by day is essential for Kedarnath leg of the journey as weather and terrain is very very unpredictable 2. Navicrow Holidays should have warned us of the hazards of helicopter travel in the Sirsi-Kedarnath leg, including distinct possibility of heli services being cancelled without alternative arrangements 3. Driver must be informed person. He should the right places to lunch along the 4 dham route. Otherwise, the Driver was a very good one. 1. Kalp kedar enroute to Gangotri dham 2. All 3 dhams visited were awesome 3. The road trips along the journey of 12 days were out of the world
