Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary: The sanctuary is located near to Mumbai and is a perfect place to see exotic wildlife. You can even drive through the park and see animals like spotted eagle, rhesus macaque, and Indian giant squirrel. Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary

The area covered by Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary was earlier a hunting zone, but when hunting was banned this place got converted into a sanctuary where animals could live in a natural habitat. The place is spread in an area of 52 square kilometers. The place is famous for exotic wildlife in Mumbai, as it has more than 90 species of butterflies along with jungle cat, palm civet, and leopard.

Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

The Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is approximately four hours' drive from Mumbai. The place is famous among nature and wildlife lovers. Many migratory birds visit the place and people come here for bird watching. One can explore the park on a jeep safari or can trek inside the park and see different varieties of plants and animals. The place is famous for the Indian Gazelle.

Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary

Narnala Wildlife SanctuaryNarnala Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at a distance of 618 km from Mumbai. It is spread over an area of 12 square kilometers. On your visit to this century, one can also visit the fort situated inside. Some of the animals that you will get to witness here are barking deer, wild boar, and sambhar. The sanctuary is also home to bamboo, lendia, and tiwas.
