Sagnik's 5 days trip to Bhutan

I recently visited Bhutan through AD tours and travel. For the majority of the trip, our guide was warm, welcoming, and professional. However, the experience on the final day was disappointing and lacked the support we expected. I read the similar issue with guide in the review section for this tour
operator. I hope they will rectify this for upcoming guests. Specifically: Missed Sightseeing: We had a clear agreement to skip the Phuntsholing sightseeing on the way in and cover it on our return to Hasimara. Instead, the guide skipped these sites entirely on the last day. Lack of Support at Border: During the exit process, we were left to manage our own luggage and navigation in the rain. While other groups seemed to have seamless transitions, we felt unsupported during the most stressful part of the journey. Communication Gaps: Our driver for the Indian side was changed without prior notice. We had to manually track down the new driver’s contact details and car number ourselves. It was hectic and not very smooth transition. While the guide was nice initially, the lack of follow-through on the itinerary and the 'drop-and-leave' approach at the border caused significant discomfort. I hope the operator improves their departure coordination for future guests.

Thank you Back2holidays for lovely trip to Bhutan. We thoroughly enjoy it. Here is some honest feedback. 1. Kashika's planning was quite appropriate. Well paced between activities. Not rushed at all. We had enough time between subsequent site seeing to relax especially with two kids. 2. Kashika's
Choices of hotels were up to the mark. 2.1 Legphel hotel was spacious, delicious food and staff was courteous. The bathroom was big and clean. 2.2 Druk hotel was again superior. Antique design and perfect location. We really enjoyed it. 2.3 Punatshangchhu cottages was excellent scenic view, lot of open space for kids. Decent good. Only disappointment was it's bathroom which was a little substandard. ( It was my choice not yours so that counts on me) 2.4 Riverfront resort was decent overall. Comfortable and spacious with good food. 3. Big shout out to our Guide Ms Yangchen and Driver Mr Kunley. Both were extremely professional and kind to us and our kids. Didn't feel like we were travelling with strangers at all. They have really upheld our expectations and presented a brilliant display of bhutanese value system. Ms Yangchen is a wonderful lady and my kids really enjoyed their time with her. She made sure my kids got enough activities of their likings on the trip. Mr Kunley's fine driving skills made the mountain ride really comfortable and smooth. He even took time to play with our kids and show them around. 4. Trip from bagdogra to phuentshoilng was Comfortable. The car was spacious and driver was smooth and courteous. For return trip to Bagdogra the driver was quite courteous. 5. Mr Shailendra's timely updates and follow-ups are much appreciated Now few things I felt could have scope for improvement 1. Ride quality for last trip to Bagdogra from phuentshoilng - Driver was quite courteous and well behaved however loud music and rough driving is not appreciated. It could have been avoided especially with a lot of time in hand and two kids on board. Now I hope you please take this as constructive feedback. rather than concluding with only praises in two lines, I have tried to give an actual picture of how it all went. Me and my family really enjoyed the trip. You made it possible for us and I sincerely thank you for that. I hope to connect with you again for our upcoming trips. Thank you so much. Kudos to Back2holidays for such a wonderful trip.

4.5/5 We booked our 7day tour from GZD Tours. Sharmila made sure we get a meticulous planned package covering all important places. She provided us good hotels(& guide) at a reasonable price. Right from our pickup at Bagdogra airport to our drop-off at the end of the trip, was done seamlessly.
Jampa Dubjur (JD) was our tour guide in this trip and Haapa Dorji was the driver accompanying us. They were kind, knowledgeable and very accommodating. They made sure we had a good time during the long drives! Following hotels were provided to us : 1. Phuentsholling : Hotel Legphel -> 2km away from the main town. The rooms were excellent, hygienic and food was pretty good too! 2. Thimphu : Hotel Takhtsang -> Located at the centre of the city, but the room was decent, however the food was good! 3. Punakha : Hotel Khurukhuru -> Located at the centre of the city. The rooms were great, hygienic and food was pretty good too! 4. Phobjika : Hotel Odiyana -> This hotel has a great view of the Phobjika valley. However, the room was pretty average. The food was pretty good(however, despite booking for a breakfast in advance. IT was over way early.) 5. Paro : Hotel Ratna Vara -> Located at the centre of the city, The rooms were excellent, hygienic and food was pretty good too! I had always heard that Bhutanese are very deep rooted to their culture and pretty genuine in keeping their tourist happy. JD, Dorji and Sharmila proved that it was true. If you’re planning for a trip to Bhutan, I would highly recommend to go with Green Zone Destination Tours! Tiger Nest hike and Hot Stone bath after a grueling hike was the best experience!

My recent trip to Bhutan arranged by Red Robes Destination. It was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the country’s serene beauty and the genuine warmth of its people. The landscapes looked like they belonged in a painting. Lush valleys, snow capped peaks, and
ancient monasteries perched dramatically on cliffs. One of the highlights was visiting the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. The hike itself was inspiring, offering breathtaking views along the way, and the peaceful atmosphere at the top made the effort completely worthwhile. Bhutan’s devotion to preserving its culture and environment was evident everywhere. From traditional architecture to the pristine surroundings untouched by mass tourism. The hospitality was exceptional. Whether at hotels, homestays, or local cafes, everyone I met was incredibly kind and eager to share the essence of Bhutanese life. The food was delicious too, especially the locally grown produce and comforting dishes like ema datshi. What truly set Bhutan apart was the sense of calm and authenticity. It’s a place where you can genuinely unplug, breathe deeply, and feel connected to both nature and culture. The emphasis on Gross National Happiness isn’t just a slogan, it’s something you feel throughout the journey. Overall, my trip to Bhutan was enriching, peaceful, and memorable, an experience I would highly recommend to anyone seeking beauty, culture, and a refreshing shift in perspective.

Rosina's 6 days trip to Bhutan

I recently returned from my Bhutan trip, and I would like to share my genuine appreciation for the wonderful experience. Our package covered Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Paro, and Punakha, and throughout the entire journey everything was incredibly well arranged. A special shout-out to Trip Trova and th
e entire team — Nitesh, Tashi, Guruji, and Karma — for making our trip smooth, happy, and truly memorable. Whether we were out of cash, wanted to try authentic Bhutanese food, shop at reasonable prices, or simply needed privacy to explore, every request was handled patiently and respectfully. We always felt supported without feeling restricted. A very special mention to Guruji and Tashi for prioritizing our health and comfort. Considering how challenging the roads can be in some parts of Bhutan, we feel extremely lucky to have had Guruji as our driver. He was caring, experienced, and looked after us like an elder, without ever getting into our personal space. Thank you once again for a beautiful experience and for going above and beyond to make our trip memorable.
