It is the building designed by Gordon Moller, a popular architect from New Zealand. Construction of the building got finished in the year 2001 during the second anniversary of Macau. By the time when the construction was finished, it became the eighth highest tower in Asia and tenth in the whole world. It is a very charming place, which attracts over 1 million people who visit the place annually for different reasons. The Macau Tower in Hong Kong is a complete package for anyone to enjoy some adventure, shopping and site seeing.
Macau Tower Height
Macau Tower has a height of 338 meters, which is about 1108 feet. Highest observation level in the towers is an outdoor observation deck, which is situated on the level 61 that is at the height of about 223 meters. The observation lounge is an indoor facility while the observation deck is an outdoor one. The Macau Tower in Hong Kong is open all the days and during weekends and holidays, it will be opened one hour earlier.
Sightseeing at Macau Tower
The observation deck is one that provides the best look of the city. There is an observation Lounge on level 58. It is really a fascinating experience to watch the sunrise or the night view of Macau from here. The east and the west Mangyang hill, Casino Lisboa and the island of Hong Kong can be seen from this tower.
Dining at Macau Tower
Many excellent dining options are present at the Macau Tower. The Lua Azul is the restaurant that serves Chaozhou, Cantonese and Huaiyang cuisines. It is good for having a look at the way dishes are prepared here. There are private dining rooms too available in the restaurant. This restaurant is located on the third floor of the tower. The Café on four is the one, which is next to the theatre and is a great place for one to relax. Many other restaurant options serve different cuisines and are very attractive to visitors.
Adventures at Macau Tower
1) Macau Tower Bungee Jump
There are different adventurous activities organized in this place, which include Skywalk X at level 61, Bungee Jump from the height of about 732 feet and Mast climb from the height of 328 feet to the top of the tower.
2) Macau Tower Skywalk
Experience the thrill by taking a stroll at 764 feet (233 meters) above the ground. Tourists can explore the views of Macau from a six-feet wide walkway. One can walk around it to have the aerial view of Coloane islands, Macau peninsula and Taipa and Pearl River Delta. Tickets for Skywalk at Macau Tower can be booked in advance.
