    Best Time To Visit Rameshwaram

Plan your trip during best season to experience the best of this stunning destination

Located on Pamban Island in the Gulf of Mannar, off the coast of Tamil Nadu, Rameshwaram is one of the most sacred places in India. The four big pilgrimage sites, the Char Dhams, are scattered in four different directions. Rameshwaram is the holy Dham in South India. Hindu devotees visit from India and abroad to see the marvellous Ramanathaswamy Temple and Agni Teertham. The best time to visit Rameshwaram is in winter, from November to February. The shoulder months - October, March, and April—are easygoing. Rameshwaram has a tropical climate located on an island close to the equator. This means the temperatures barely fluctuate, and the humidity is often oppressive and unbearable. For visitors unaccustomed to high levels of moisture, visiting Rameshwaram anytime outside the winter season might not be a good idea. Otherwise, the weather is quite pleasant and rarely gets hotter than 32 degrees Celsius. October and November are generally the wettest months. It doesn’t rain too frequently the rest of the year, but when it rains, it pours!

    Climate in Rameshwaram

    Summer Season in Rameshwaram

Summer is the off-season in Rameshwaram. The months of March to July are hot, and with the increased humidity, the weather becomes muggy. The sun is merciless and shines on the island 12 hours a day. Sightseeing can become difficult, and excessive sweating can easily dehydrate you. Even sea-bathing and beach hopping are quite challenging due to the relentless heat. It is not the best time to visit Rameshwaram. However, for those planning a trip here during the summers, the lowered hotel rates and nearly empty public spots are something to look forward to.

    Monsoon Season in Rameshwaram

The monsoon season in Rameshwaram, which lasts from July to October, is more pleasant than summer. However, roaming about amid torrential downpours can be challenging. Even if Rameshwaram's temperature remains pleasant throughout the monsoon season, the weather's unpredictability is worth considering. Though monsoon season is not the best weather to visit Rameshwaram, it is not the worst time to travel either. One can expect lesser crowds at the temples and tourist destinations, as well as some discounts and special packages from hotels.

    Winter Season in Rameshwaram

Winter in Rameshwaram lasts from October to February and is also the peak season for visiting the city. The temperature during these months drops a couple of degrees, ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, while the humidity levels drop significantly. This rare, dry, non-humid weather is a breath of fresh air that most tourists seek as the best time to visit Rameshwaram. Cold and soothing winds blow during this season, and you can participate in many outdoor activities. In December, Rameshwaram also hosts the festival of Arudra Darshanam, which celebrates an aspect of Lord Shiva. This is said to be one of the most celebrated festivals in Rameshwaram.

Vikrant's 7 days trip to Rameshwaram

I recently booked a holiday package through Travel Triangle, and here's my experience: *Hotel:* We stayed at the Khan Gufa Hotel in Bandipur, which was generally good, but there were a few issues. The hotel provided false information about the safari, which was disappointing. Also hotel rooms are n
ot suitable to stay. *Cab & Driver:* The cab driver sent by Lee Vacations was a 20-year-old boy who was good-natured but lacked driving skills and knowledge about the locations. Moreover, the cab agency seemed greedy, which was a bit of a concern. *Service of Travel Agent:* Despite the issues, the travel agent was very nice and decent. He was always available to address our queries and managed our trip effectively, even when he had to rely on another agent due to his limited knowledge of the locations. Overall, while there were some hiccups, the agent's service and efforts to resolve issues were commendable. With a bit more attention to detail and better coordination with suppliers, Travel Triangle could provide an even better experience for its clients. *Recommendation:* While I would recommend Travel Triangle for its agent's service, I would suggest they work on improving their supplier partnerships and quality control to ensure a smoother experience for clients.

Hotel Breakfast was not good. No proper Management and seems lack of Man power. Network Issue in the room. Coonoor was not covered and Iternary should have been shared to Driver. It seems there was no proper communication provided to the Driver regarding hotel and Iternary. Overall it was okay.

Peenaz's 6 days trip to Rameshwaram

Hotels - Raisana was near and clean. Roopa hotel was well managed but it wasn't well managed but the food at their restaurant had a lot of soda in their fitters. We informed this there too. For the third stay we expected a deluxe stay and because of some miscommunication we ended in a lodge type pl
ace though an alternative was given to us but our mood was spoilt since we were expecting better for the price. We were kept in some lodging residency type of thing. Cab and driver - the drivers skills were good and he was experiencing but the car was old and broken. Firstly he outright refused to take us to all the places mentioned in the itinerary. The car's front seat was broken, back seat was coming out. The car needs maintenance. Service - I felt outsmarted by the travel agent twice and the mistake is mine that I trusted blindly. These two bad instances made me have a bad opinion. For the price I paid my stays except for the first one were pathetic
