It had been passed down to his Rajput and Rana descendants but was later taken over by the Gorkha rulers. Now, the Arki fort is referred to as the ‘Arki Palace’ and has been turned into a hotel for tourists. This fort allows its visitors to get a view of the beautiful Himalayan ranges while enjoying a steaming cup of coffee. The fort accommodates and takes care of the living accommodation and touring facilities of tourists. Arki fort has been associated with my great rulers and that is why it holds such a significant historical place in the hearts of the locals.
