      FAQs About Oman Tour Packages

What is available to eat in Oman? Can a vegetarian diet be followed?

Thanks to the huge diaspora from all over the world that live in Oman, the food available is diverse and visitors can enjoy a cosmopolitan cuisine. You can savour authentic Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Indian, American, Chinese and of course Omani cuisines in one country. Vegetarians and vegans, too, have plenty of options and will not find any difficulty in enjoying the delicious food here.

Is Oman a place for people of all ages? Can the elderly and babies too be brought here?

As a country with facilities considered by many as the best in the world, it is a place where everyone can have a nice time. There are plenty of peaceful parks and gardens which are easily accessible where the elderly can relax and have a good time. Often, parents of the expatriates who live there visit for the holidays and go back home well-rested and happy. As for babies and toddlers, most places are safe and friendly for children.

Is the dress code very strict for foreign tourists?

While some Middle Eastern countries have a very strict dress code and rules of behaviour in public, Oman is one of the more liberal countries and allows its residents to dress as they please in public. However, it is important to note that conservative dressing and decent sense of fashion is observed in places of worship and public functions and for women to cover their arms and legs to a decent amount to avoid any incident.

      Is alcohol allowed in Oman?

Alcohol is allowed in Oman but can be cold only with a permit and under strict regulation in order to ensure the safety of the majority of the residents as well as to avoid any untoward accidents or incidents. Alcohol is not allowed in public spaces and consumption of such in a public place would lead to repercussions. It is OK to drink while in a licensed pub or bar, and can be bought at duty free shops— however; it is restricted to one bottle per person.

      How expensive is Oman?

Oman is not as expensive as some of the other travel destinations out there. Hospitality and food are available at reasonable prices and while transport may be a problem, TravelTriangle allocated an English-speaking chauffeur, so you wouldn’t have to worry about spending money on taxis or public transport which can be expensive.
