Travel to Cape Town

The best mode of transportation to find out how to go to Cape Town is via flights.

Cape Town is the second most visited city in South Africa when it comes to tourism, right after Johannesburg. With attractions such as lovely beaches and the Table Mountain bring people in flocks during the dry and warm season, as well as the wet and cold season. To cater to this booming tourism, Cape Town has a very well transport connectivity via air with the rest of the world, including India, and within the country with other South African cities as well. However, earlier people used to travel via ships carrying cargo and passengers both to the distant lands of India and Caribbean Islands.

How to reach Cape Town from India

Cape Town International Airport is the city’s access to international flights, located around 20 minutes away from the main city. It has both international and domestic terminals and is the second busiest airport of the country after Johannesburg’s O. R. Tambo. Flights from major international airports of Asia, Europe, Africa and America, as well as from big and small local cities like Jo’burg, Durban, Kimberley and George land here everyday, ferrying in tourists from all corners. The major airlines that connect India to Cape Town are Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, Kenya Airways and Air Seychelles. Domestic travel can be done via roadway or railway as well, but certainly not from India directly.
