Cherai beach is located on on the north side of Vypeen island and is cradled in the lap of a picturesque natural panorama. Since the dolphins are a little distance from the main beach, tourists will have to take a boat to get there. There are multiple ways to reach this place and for those interested in watching dolphins at Cherai beach, they are listed below.

Cherai beach is 22 kms from the Cochin International airport and about 26 kms from Ernakulam railway station, both of which are the nearest hubs of transport welcoming visitors into the area. Vypeen island is now thankfully connected by road and as such, it is possible for tourists to take cabs/autos right to Cherai beach itself. The option to reach Vypeen by boat/ferry is also available with ferries going often from Ernakulam High Court jetty as well as the Main boat jetty to Vypeen. From the Vypeen jetty, getting to Cherai by road will take roughly 40 minutes and there are buses, as well as smaller transport options available. We had a great experience of this trip. Hotel of Alleppey tourism development is awesome have great view ( mountain view , see view and swimming pool), clean and safe. Room service is good and food is also good of hotel Tea village and marrari village resort . hotel periyar meadows was not too good

and food is of very poor quality. over all this trip worth buying. Marrari village resort Alleppey and Tea village munnar was best and memorable

Hotel in Munnar was excellent but houseboat was worst. We requested for clean boat and infect we were getting better but we opted for the travel agent on trust.
