About Sultan Abdul Samad Building In Kuala Lumpur

Acting as a home to the Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture of Malaysia, Sultan Abdul Samad Building is one of the most important tourist attractions of Kuala Lumpur. The building is located just beside the old KL railway station and is easily accessible from the main city. Although the building no longer serves the official purpose, it still remains a historical landmark in the whole country.

Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur is made up of brick and feature a seamless configuration of western, gothic and moorish attributes. You will be amazed to see the marvelous architecture that consists of a grand porch, large arches, a 41.2m- high clock tower and attractive, curved colonnades adorned with gorgeous copper cupolas. Another interesting thing to note about the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is that the Independence Day of Malaysia takes place here, every year.

The backdrop against the building is Malaysia’s ever-changing skyline. While there are several more structures located here, Sultan Abdul Samad Building still remains the major attraction. Apart from that, you may also take an opportunity to visit the buildings designed by the famous Anthony C. Norman and A.B. Hubbock. I had booked my honeymoon package with the Sharing Travels. The travel itinerary was good as shared before. Langkawi was excellent but KL wasn't up to the expectations. It felt like a waste of time and money. KL can be explored on a self-basis much better than taking a package. Ginting highlands are good for kids and not for couples. The city tour was worst when the cab driver himself was amazed why such an odd time slot was given. Otherwise felt relief of mind by booking the package. More options should have been given to choose from and a travel guide should have been welcomed
