Is sightseeing cost included in the package cost?

No, due to the local government’s transport rules the sightseeing cost is not included in the package cost. Pony rides, Gondola rides, water sports, and other activities are also charged extra. On request, the agent can provide an idea of this cost as well.

Does the package cover the entire pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi?

No, the package only covers the transfer to Banganga. The journey from Bangana to the Vaishno Devi Cave is not included in the package. You can either travel on foot or hire a pony at your own cost to the top. Similarly, pick-up to the hotel is from Banganga.

What can be expected from the hotels in Kashmir?

All hotels will be of standard category, unless mentioned otherwise, in a good location. The hotels will have all basic amenities, such as attached baths in rooms with running hot and cold water, television, in-house restaurant, and all other services of deluxe quality.

What are the things to keep in mind regarding the stay on the houseboat?

You can expect frequent power cuts on the houseboats. Also, the housekeeping is not available at all hours. Since the food as to be brought from outside, timings of all meals are also fixed to prevent the food from getting cold.

What kind of clothing should one be carrying?

Light woolens are sufficient during summers. But in winters, we suggest you to carry thick woolens as the temperatures may go below the freezing point.

Heenat from Kashmir Boulevard was really very prompt in helping us before and throughout the journey. Our driver was also very well versed with the local spots and did a great job overall and was practically a guide to us. We would highly recommend the Kashmir boulevard for their service. Only hitch was we weren’t aware about the local taxis and the expense at places like Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg which should have been either incorporated earlier or explained before before booking. Hotels and their services were excellent, though the one at Srinagar could have been better at the same cost. Pahalgam, Snowfall at Sonamarg.

Kashmir is full of scams. Be it pony ride, or shikara or even some union cabs. Complementary one hour Shikara ride is just an eye catcher, when you go to the ghats which ofcourse your travel agent will decide for, you get to near that you can only take a good peaceful ride only if you are ready to pay a minimum of 2k. Else you can only go max of a 100m which will hardly take 20mins. The rest 40 mins you will be sitting still and get pestered by hawkers selling Kahwa or sometimes by photographers. Pony ride at Pahalgam is the biggest scam. While your cab driver will be assisting you to negotiate with the pony owners he actually is trying to get cut. Same with cabs at Sonmarg. Now let's come to the good part Hotels Dewan Vintage gulmarg Of robusta retreat Were seriously good With good service and rooms as per the prices respectively. While Eden at Pahalgam had a great room but unfortunately pathetic service. Buffet dinner and breakfast being a disaster where you have to wait to even get plates or bowls. Then for every dish you need to ask to refill them. Breakfast was the worst where we needed to literally wait for the paratha and omelette because all the items were over and paratha was the only item we got. I would like to say that our driver was knowledgeable and was helpful. The vehicle provided was good.

I would like to first thank Mr. Muneeb for making Kashmir trip happen and a memorable one. We were a group of 10 and though there were frequent changes in dates, destinations, eventually a finalized plan was made. Except in Sonmarg, where we were deceived by horse wallahs for paying 5x the time we're were supposed to pay was not a happy one, there I expected the local driver to assist and guide, but henceforth that did not happen. House boat Anarkali was really good and felt May be 1 extra day on the house boat could have been done. But all in all a very memorable trip, got an opportunity to see the tulip garden. Would strongly recommend Mr. Muneeb, he has personally taken lot of ownership to ensure things went in the right direction. Mr. Babar, our TT driver was a very friendly and supportive persons, that made our journey a very comfortable one.

The coordination was just not limited till the booking was done but also while we were on the trip and even after it. COMING TO THE MAJOR HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP WAS MR ZAKIR… our guide/driver, our trip wouldn’t be so great without him he made sure to be present everywhere, every time whenever we needed him, his passion for his work and memanawazi can be seen every time! Unfortunately my husband fell off the horse in Pahalgam and I don’t know what would we have done without Zakir bhai, he took us to the hospital, stood in the que did all the billings and never asked/took a penny even if we forced him and tried to give him. Awesome experience in Peacock Houseboat on Day 1 with superb food. Then we witnessed the beauty of Kashmir on remaining days. Wonderful scenic beauty in Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Our trip was wonderfully organised by Peacock Holidays and team - Ms Saima Azad and Mr Aakash Parray. Ms Saima Azad is a wonderful lady who is concerned more than tourists about their trip, plans and safety. She was in regular touch with our driver about our tour plans and our safety. All the planned hotels were very good. We only faced food quality issues in Hotel Wild Flower Resort in Pahalgam. Rest all hotels were absolutely good. We found best property in Sonamarg i.e. Hotel Rah Vilas. Our driver cum guide cum friend cum travel companion Mr Aakash Parray is a also wonderful person with great sense of humor and responsibility. He briefs us about all the tourist points and cover all points in time. He helped us in purchasing from genuine shops also. Average rating of this agent. Sad part is that before payment the agent Ms. Farah was very responsive and guided us very well. However after payment,no one bothered to explain the detail itenary nor give basic information like driver details which was given LAST moment after continuous follow up fro my side. Our driver Shabbir was okay,but had rash driving. Despite being told several times,yet he continued to drive rashly. He gave good advise regarding our planning,even better than the head Mr.Momin. One advise from my end,please read the itenary specially when going to Kashmir,as the various places like gulmarg,sonmarg,pahalgam have additional expenses based on sightseeing there. Agents should mention in itenary as well as inform you verbally about these. Overall Travel home needs to offer better coordination and follow up service. Not upto the mark. Please consider another agent while booking Kashmir trip.
