The state of Madhya Pradesh has recently introduced night safaris in its three national parks. Reportedly with this progression, the State government aims to encourage tourism in the region. A piece of exciting news for wildlife enthusiasts, the Madhya Pradesh night safari will allow visitors to witness nocturnal species of the wild in their natural surroundings.
To take proper safety measures and precautions so that no visitor or animal is harmed in any way, the state would plan out a mindful route of the same. Bandhavgarh National Park, Pench National Park, and Kanha National Park are the three national parks where the night safari services would begin. Tickets can be booked on the Wildlife Safari Reservation portal, which is run by the forest department of Madhya Pradesh.
An Outline of the Night Safari in Madhya Pradesh
According to reports, the night safari in Madhya Pradesh would remarkably enhance the tourism of the state as the three national parks to commence the services are the leading national parks of the country.
Home to various wildlife species, including white tigers, Asiatic jackals, Bengal fox, and sloth bears, Bandhavgarh National Park will offer night safari services from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Whereas, Pench National Park, a popular habitat for the Royal Bengal tiger would keep the night safari timings between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Along with tigers, during this Madhya Pradesh night safari visitors will also be able to spot several other species of animals here, including the four-horned antelope, Indian wolf, and wild boar.
Lastly, the grassy meadows of Kanha National Park would be open from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. With the night safari services at this national park, wildlife enthusiasts will be able to witness Royal Bengal tigers, Indian elephants, and even Barasinghas in the darkness of the night.
We are sure that after a year of travel restrictions due to Covid-19, this initiative by the Madhya Pradesh State Government would be thoroughly appreciated by travellers all over the country.
