About Bagh-e-Bahu in Jammu
Bagh-e-Bahu is a beautiful tourist destination in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located on the bank of Tawi River just beside the famous Bahu Fort, at a distance of only 4 kms away from the Jammu Tawi Railway Station and 9 km from the Jammu Airport. Bahu-e-bag is actually a garden which is situated in Jammu and serves as a magnificent source of attraction for several tourists coming here. It is seated on the top of a mountain overlooking the Tawi river. The garden is characterized with grand lawns, gorgeous fountains, aesthetic stone sculptures, a beautiful lake and a large aquarium. It is a spectacular combination of a peaceful aura and breathtaking landscape. Most of the tourists come here to spend some romantic time with their spouse. However, it can also be visited with friends and family members.
Architecture Of Bagh-e-Bahu
Bagh-e-Bahu features a huge sign that is purposefully placed there as a greeting for visitors at the entrance. It also states that the garden is made out of little plants trimmed to these shapes. As soon as you enter inside the garden, you will find a host of of trees and flowers placed in such a way that adorn both sides of the walkway. Due to this feature, Bagh-e-Bahu is full of serene aura. There is a terraced garden that equips several gorgeous fountains located at different levels. Make sure to enjoy the best of these fountains especially during the night time when they are all lit up.
There is a charming lake situated at the top level inside the garden which is surrounded by lovely, colourful flowers blending perfectly fine with contrasting stone alleyways to offer you an amazing view as you pass by. Bagh-e-bahu has several waterfalls and a central water canal running through the garden. It is a visual treat for enthusiast photographers and nature lovers who come here for sightseeing. Several stone sculptures which are found here also impart an aesthetic look to the entire place.
Attractions In Bagh-e-bahu
Bagh-e-bahu feature the largest underground aquarium in India. The aquarium is constructed in the shape of a fish, and has 24 aquarium caves and 13 small caves which store freshwater and marine water fish. Along with the aquarium, you will also find a public gallery, laboratory, and a fascinating museum.
