      FAQs for Rajasthan

How easily could one get to Ranthambore?

As Ranthambore is 180 kms from Jaipur and 280 kms from Agra, often visitors drive down to this place via Tonk (on the way from Jaipur) or Dausa (on the way from Agra). However, you may also take a train to Sawai Madhopur, for the town lies on the main Delhi - Mumbai train route and has excellent rail connectivity with all the major cities and station in India.

What is the best time to enjoy safari in Ranthambore?

For the best wildlife view, you may hop on a safari when the sun rays are not quite strong, i.e. early mornings or late evenings. However, morning safaris are better during summers and evening ones are better in the winters.

What are the timings when visitors can enjoy a safari here?

The Ranthambore Park timings often depend on the sunrise and sunset. It opens to the tourists half an hour after sunrise and closes half an hour before sunset. And in winters, due to the shorter duration of daylight hours, the morning entry time is later and evening exit time is quite earlier. Morning Jungle safari is scheduled from 6.00 to 10.00 am and evening jungle safari runs from 2.30 to 6.30 pm.

What is the best time of the year to visit Ranthambore?

Ranthambore National Park remains open from 1st October to 30th June of every year. And, rest of the time park remains closed due to the rainy season, i.e. often from July to September. The best time to visit Ranthambore is from November to April.

Which is the better option to enjoy wildlife safari- gypsy or canter?

Both Gypsy and Canter Safaris offer amazing views to capture as memoirs. However, gypsy safari is kinda private and a bit expensive from canters. If you are a group of 4 to 6 people, you may easily opt for a Gypsy Safari, and in case of a large group like 10 to 20 people, Canter Safari is the right option.

How long does it take to visit the whole of Ranthambore?

It takes around 2 to 3 hours to explore Ranthambore to the fullest. Depending on your interest, and the time is taken, the duration will vary accordingly.

It was a so - so trip. Although the hotel was good, but the driver wasn't. The driver used to be late and also what all was mentioned in the itinerary was not covered by him. Now, if i talk about the agent than , first of all his package was costly if i compare i with outside and lastly from the agent end the responsiveness and support was very less.

It was overcharged when we boarded our train. The travel agent called and then said that the tempo traveller is not available but there is one available who is charging extra amount. So, then it crossed our budget. The trip got out of our budget and got expensive. Desert safari was best. And tanot mata temple.
