turning from Puri via train, there were no good option to eat. One shall plan in advance for good. Either book from irctc or from hotel. Our Tempo traveller was good. But we faced issue with mosquito inside it for a day. We faced mosquito problem in Puri railway station waiting room. We were scammed in Chilka lake with fake gems. This scam is going on from atleast 2016 if I go by news. Travel triangle shall open a new section with scam to avoid in particular area and travel agent shall specifically tell these scams while explaining the trip. We were not 'told' about this scam by agent but it was mentioned in our iternary. Temples especially, Lingraj temple, didn't have any proper crowd control n had foul smell from broken coconut inside the premise. On Chilka lake one shall maximise time on the last Island. There is no guarantee that you will see dolphin in lake. Boat person will say things to keep you busy like, at particular location they more visible, or we have to far or, we came late or they are more visible in some other time. One of temple had cockroach nest on wall inside temple n no proper ventilation. We visited Puri temple in morning 7am. After darshan we had to walk without footwear in drain water. Administration should focus more on such small things. Inside Priest temple, priest well just hold your hand and say somr mantra and demand money. They will not leave your hand without money. I had to pay rs100. Best part of trip was chadra bagha beach. All beach we saw, water was clean. Odhisa govt should promote clean beach. But it lacked garbage management. On beach you can see plastic. But still it was better than most of beaches which I have seen. Konark sun temple is not a temple but a monument. It is maintained very cleanly. Beach were really good. One shall plan trip with keeping beach in mind.

The hotels were changed after the trip started which was unwanted and to the great discomfort of the travellers, they were repeatedly shifted to new place every morning. 2. There was no tour guide throughout the trip and my parents had to plan the trip on their own since the driver was not well informed. 3. The hotel room provided in Holiday Hotel in puri was standard even though a deluxe room was booked as per the itinerary. 4. Poor management and miscommunication by the travel agent with the hotel management regarding hotel rooms and complementary lunch/dinner led to lot of confusion and repeated intervention on my side. This should have been arranged in advance by the tour guide. The travel agent accepted their mistake and hope they provide better services hereafter.

They will fool you after wasting your precious 4 hrs and when u will come back at the shore in the evening, nobody will be there in the office to complain because they knew that they have made false promises. Most interestingly, all the cab drivers are involved with them and will not reveal anything to any travellers. There were so many people like us who were complaining about the same. Besides, there is no fix charge. There is a group who paid just 350/- per head with the same package and when I requested them can I be a part of the group and will pay my share, the authorities simple refuse to be a part of the group. So, be aware of such scams and spend your valuable time at some other places. Also, on Chilka lake they will try to grab some money by showing fake pearls & stones. Be cautious & don't get trapped. Cab driver is very adamant taking you to the places of your choice. We just requested to take us to a temple in Puri and he refused stating that road is very narrow. Then we walked through that road and it was wide enough to drive the car and be parked. On the other hand the cab driver will take you to the Raghuraj painting village where roads are so so narrow where it is almost impossible to take the car. Not sure if they have any vested interest. So, just be aware, do your research and include the places at the time of finalising the package rather than requesting the driver on the day of visit.
