      The best time to visit Siem Reap is from late November through February as the weather is cool and pleasant and the popular temple-cities are best explored in this weather. It becomes hot during March and April and things start to cool down towards the end of May.


      The Angkor Wat temple complex is open from 5 am till 6 pm. The Banteay Srei temple closes at 5pm, while the Kbal Spean temple closes at 3pm. There is a toll levied on the following temples Phnom Kulen ($20), Koh Ker ($10), Beng Melea ($5).


      Yes, there are plenty of ATMs all over Siem Reap and they do dispense US dollars. Lucky Mall has over five ATMs within it and each ATM charges a fee of US$4-6 per transaction. At the ANZ bank ATMs, you will be charged US$5 per transaction. Always make sure you check the ATM to see if it is part of the international Cirrus network.


      The local currency of Cambodia is the Riel (4,000R= US$1) but tourists can also use US dollars as they are widely accepted all over the region. You can get Riels as small change which you can use to pay for buying street food, tuk-tuk drivers and shopping the food markets.
