    Overview

Jaipur is a really interesting Indian city where you would find some of the most amazing buildings and examples of Rajasthan architecture, many of which have survived over many centuries. It's many inspiring religious and historically significant places will leave you wanting to come to visit Jaipur in August.

At the end of the British colonial rule, Jaipur became the capital of a new state known as Rajasthan. As of 2011, Jaipur had an estimated population of about 3.1 million people, making it the largest city in Rajasthan as well as the 10th most populous city in India. When people refer to Jaipur as the Pink City, don’t be alarmed as when you visit Jaipur in August, you’ll get to see many houses which are pink or red in colour, this is why Jaipur is called the pink city. The buildings were originally painted in this manner so as to have a semblance with the red sandstone architecture of Maugham cities. The present earthy red color you’ll take note of while visiting Jaipur in August originates from the repainting of the buildings in the city which were done in 1876 when the Prince of Wales came for a visit. Jaipur is located 268 km away from India’s national capital, New Delhi and now with its fast-growing economy, many different projects are being undertaken by the government and private enterprises so as to build better infrastructures for the city.

Many tourists love visiting Jaipur in August as August is one of the most interesting months to go vacationing before school and work begin. Being a popular tourist destination that it is, it also a part of what is known as the West Golden Triangle Tourist Circuit, alongside Delhi and Agra. Apart from the world heritage sites, tons of other places which you can go visiting while you’re in Jaipur in August include the Birla Mandir, Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple, Jaipur Zoo, Govind Dev Ji Temple, City Palace, Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal and many other places. Apart from serving tourists, Jaipur also serves other travelers as a gateway to get to other desert cities such as Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

One of the places you’ll get to explore while visiting Jaipur in August is the Nahargarh Fort. This is the smallest of the three forts (Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort). If you really want to have the perfect view over the Man Sagar lake and see Jaipur from a vantage point, then it’s really one of the places you should visit. You will also get to see the Madhavendra Bhawan palace which sits in the Nahargarh Fort. Galtaji is also another place tourists like to go see while visiting Jaipur in August. According to popular legend and sayings, the idol of Lord Krishna which is in the temple looks exactly like his real form while he was reincarnated in earth form.

Two most important festivals in Jaipur are the Elephant Festival and the Makar Sankranti (the Kite Festival). During the Elephant Festival, great animals are celebrated! And a great animal also happens to be the Elephant, so elephants are decorated and are beautifully paraded around the streets. With such an interesting place filled with symbolic culture and history! Jaipur is indeed a city worth visiting in August.

    Highlights

    • Visit the iconic Chokhi Dhani
    • Enjoy the amazing Camel Ride and Elephant Ride
    • Witness the sprawling Amber Fort and the majestic Jaigarh Fort

Rajasthan trip of mine didn't meet my expectations. I would like to start with the hotel, the hotel which was provided to us in Jaipur was just fab because i have asked the agent to provide that and given extra money as well but for Udaipur it was horrible, the room was very small and that too on the corner where there was no lift also. Coming to cab , the driver drive so slowly that it too around 12hrs to travel from Jaipur to Udaipur. He takes necessary breaks in between and while going on break didn't switch on Ac as well. In short my suggestion to agent is that only if your provide the packages in exchange of money do provide the services as well for that if want extra money that it atleast we should have comfort if we are on a trip.

It was a very well planned , coordinated and managed trip . The hotels were good , the driver was always on time, act like a guide to us and the agent service was also good , they have planned each and everything very properly. The only problem was the distance between Jaipur and Jodhpur that too 6 hrs one sided.

Vital had done their best to make our Trip a memorable one. They were supportive and Aarti continuously followed up on our well being and difficulties that we faced during our stay. The Heritage village -Resort is uttermost waste hotel and also is in outskirts of Jaipur. Vital team assured me that they have black listed the hotel and will not offer it to any other travelers. Just for the people who’ll be reading my review, this resort Didn’t provided me a heater in winter , their flush wasn’t working and their water tap didn’t had a cap to control the flow of water. Breakfast was average though. Rest all was good, Driver was very professional and was always on time. Big Thanks to the Vital Team. Thanks for the Anniversary complimentary Lunch.

This is first experience through Travel triangle, I was bit concerned abt the trip as I was sending only my parents for the trip. But Ganesham Tours and Travel organized the trip well… the main plus point of the trip was the driver as he was cooperative and took care of them well.. it is very much required if you travel to un-known places to have one like tht.. I’m rather convinced that Mr. Saurabh kept his words and would like to appreciate Driver Mr. Gaurav. Overall will highly recommend this tours and Travels.

Me and my husband had booked the trip to Jaipur for our anniversary and tourepedia made it memorable. The hotel hamston park was very good, centrally located, prompt and polite service by the hotel staff. The cab driver Mr. Vikas was very helpful and managed to get us on time for our train despite heavy traffic and us running against time. My husband was not interested in visiting chauki dhani and decided to go and watch the light and sound show at amer fort instead. The travel agent Mr. Pradeep was sweet to accomodate us with our last minute change of plans and that was our most memorable part of the trip. Overall it was a hassle free and fun trip with us not worrying about anything. Thank you tourepedia and its team for a beautiful jaipur trip!

First of all, would like to thanks Nikhil from TripSailor for arranging our trip. I selected TripSailor after a rigorous selection process. I needed some different and good options for hotels, places in Jaipur, and activities to unique ones like cost-effective and Easy booking. I communicated my plans and ideas to Nikhil, and with his experience of dealing with these things he rapidly brainstormed all the cases, shared knowledge and finally provided the most accepted economical quotation. I would like to thanks our cab driver Mehraj as well, always on time and also had some good knowledge of the places that we have visited. Everything was well planned. And visiting all the historic monuments in Jaipur as well as Ajmer Dargah was the best part of our trip.
