On day two, we will take the early morning express train from Taipei to Hualien, which is the largest county by area but is very sparsely populated due to its mountainous terrain. Here, we will make stops at Shitiping (Terraced Rocks), Sanxiantai, and Amis Folk Center which are all amazing places and are a must-see for every tourist. On day five we will get to visit the National Centre for Traditional Arts, which is a display of traditional Taiwanese handicrafts that are available for observation as well as purchase. We will also be visiting the Kavalan whiskey distillery to find out and learn more about how whiskey is made and distilled. After this, we will visit the beautiful Yuanshan orchid gardens. We will arrive in Taipei in the late afternoon and will stay overnight here.

    Exploring the capital city of Taiwan with curious eyes

    On day six, after breakfast, we will be going on a tour of Taiwan’s capital city. You will get to experience a number of wonderful must-see places, like the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, built in the dedication of the military leader of Taiwan. We will also see the National Palace Museum, where ancient Chinese imperial arts and jade collections almost 5000 years old are displayed— a testament to Taiwanese rich culture. Then, we will visit the Martyrs’ Shrine, a beautiful structure built in the traditional form of ancient times. You can also enjoy the Taipei Handicraft Centre where traditional Taiwanese handicrafts are made, displayed and sold. Later explore Bitou Cape, Nanya Rock Formations, Northeast Coast to visit Jiufen Village, and Bay of Two Colors.
