Gahirmatha National Park

Gahirmatha is a marine wildlife sanctuary in Odisha located to the eastern border of Bhitarkanika National Park. It is the largest nesting ground of Olive Ridley Turtles. This place is a very popular tourist attraction because of the large stretch of golden sandy beach, the pristine clear waters of the Bay of Bengal and the numerous turtles that can be found lying on the beach at the time of their nesting season.

Shiva Temple

Kanika King Palace

Kanika Palace is a massive cream coloured structure constructed for King Rajendra Narayan Bhanjadeo. It is situated on a 4 acre land and is around 75 feet tall. It is lined with two rivers one in front and the other at a distance on the side. The walls of the palace are adorned with stained glasses from Belgium. It is known for its elegant wooden staircases the century od oriental furniture and stencil paintings.

Silted Lotus Pond

This pond lies in the Bhitarkanika National park itself and is adorned with beautiful lotus flowers of every possible color in the months of monsoon. This is one of the few ponds where animal sightings are most frequent. Meadow Tower

Hotel at Puri (Pride Ananya) was great in every aspect. The Adventure Hotel at Bhubaneswar was good at stay but very poor in services. Even after advance intimation from our travel agent as well as from us, they didn't provide packed breakfast as we had to leave early to take a flight. Regarding transportation, driver was great with average vehicle health. All the described places were covered and enjoyed it thoroughly.

You can visit the wildlife sanctuary by boats. The Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary is a set of islands surrounded by water on all sides, a delta area for four rivers. You can visit this Sanctuary by taking boat rides through the various creeks and rivulets that run through the park.
