Dharmasthala is 105.8 km away from Udupi. Via SH 37, it takes 2 hours 30 minutes to reach.

Early summers are pleasant enough for visits. April sees a temperature of around 23°C-32°C. But May and June witnesses scorching heat, and it can go up to 40°C. Peak summers should be avoided.

The last boat from mainland leaves at 4:30 pm and from the island at 6 pm. However, the timings might change in case of a storm of erratic tides, so do make inquiries beforehand.

Catch a ferry boat from the Malpe Fishing Harbour which will take you to St Mary’s Island in around 50 minutes.
