Hari Sitaram Dixit, popularly known as Kakasaheb Dixit, had injured his leg in a train accident while studying in London, which left him limping and lacking confidence. Nana persuaded him to visit Sai Baba, which was life-changing for him. He received Baba’s darshan as an influential lawyer and was deeply moved, becoming his devout follower. Baba once asked, “Why are you anxious? All care is mine,” Dixit entrusted his beliefs and received significant help and relief. There were many inspiring instances of his deep devotion to Baba and of Baba’s response.

Construction of Dixit Wada began with Baba’s permission in the late 1910s. On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami in 1911, he established this museum. He lived in a small room on the first floor after creating the museum, and the rest was generously given to devotees. Baba occasionally sent people to the Wada to attend Dixit’s daily parayana, and the pooja was performed regularly. Baba once promised to “take Kaka in a vimana, i.e., secure him a happy death.” In 1926, Dixit passed away peacefully before bequeathing part of the wada to the Sansthan, which later gifted the whole building.
