Manali Tour Package From Ahmedabad - At a glance
A 3 nights 4 days Manali tour package from Ahmedabad is the tidiest way to see the best of the Kullu valley on a long weekend without planning a thing yourself. Manali sits at about 2,050 m on the banks of the Beas, wrapped in pine and deodar forest, and this plan uses your three nights there to cover the town, one snow-and-adventure day at Solang or Rohtang, and a full day in the old Kullu capital of Naggar.
Because there is no direct flight to Manali, most Ahmedabad travellers fly into Delhi or Chandigarh and drive up, and the package handles every transfer from there. You get a private cab, hotel breakfasts and dinners, and a fixed price from Rs 10,000 per person. For the full Himachal picture and other durations, see our Manali packages from Ahmedabad listing.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Manali and local sightseeing
You arrive into Manali by road, check in and drop your bags before the afternoon of sightseeing close to town. Hadimba Temple comes first, a four-tiered wooden pagoda from 1553 tucked inside a cedar grove a short walk from Mall Road. From there the drive takes in Nehru Kund, a cold spring beside the Leh highway, the riverside lawns of Van Vihar, the sulphur hot springs at Vashisht, and Manu Temple in old Manali. The evening is free on Mall Road and the Manu market, where the Kullu shawls, caps and boxes of hill apples are worth the browse. Dinner and the night are at your Manali hotel.
Day 2: Solang Valley or Rohtang Pass snow day
After breakfast you head up towards Rohtang Pass, roughly 51 km from town at about 3,980 m. Rohtang runs on a daily vehicle permit with a rotating weekly closure day, so when it is shut or over quota the day switches to Solang Valley instead. Either place is the adventure day: zorbing down the meadow, a ropeway or chairlift, skiing in season, paragliding and snow scooters. When the road is open you can carry on through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu on the Lahaul side, a quieter valley with a waterfall that most day-trippers never reach. The Rohtang permit is not part of the package price and costs about Rs 550 per vehicle. Back to Manali for dinner and the night.
Day 3: Kullu and Naggar heritage day
This is the day that sets this package apart from every other Manali plan out of Ahmedabad. You drive down-valley to Naggar, the old capital of Kullu, and Naggar Castle, a stone-and-timber fort raised by Raja Sidh Singh around 1460 AD and still standing as a heritage property and gallery. In the same cluster sit the Gauri Shankar Temple, the Jagatipatt and Tripura Sundari shrines, and the Uruswati Himalayan Folk Art Museum, home to the Nicholas Roerich Himalayan art collection. On the way you can stop at the Kullu shawl-weaving factories, and add Manikaran, the riverside gurudwara and hot-spring town in the Parvati valley, if the day allows. Dinner and overnight in Manali.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast you check out and transfer to your onward bus or railway station, usually heading down to Chandigarh or Delhi for the flight or train back to Ahmedabad. Your 3 nights and 4 days in the Kullu valley end here.
How to reach Manali from Ahmedabad
There is no direct flight to Manali, so the trip runs in two legs: fly or train to the plains, then drive up. Here is how the options compare.
| Mode | Route | Approx time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| By air (fastest) | Ahmedabad (AMD) to Delhi (DEL) or Chandigarh (IXC), then road to Manali | ~2 hr flight + 8 to 12 hr road | Delhi to Manali ~530 km; Chandigarh to Manali ~310 km |
| By air (nearest airport) | Ahmedabad to Bhuntar (KUU), then ~50 km road | ~1 stop flight + ~1.5 hr road | Limited seasonal flights; check availability |
| By train + road | Ahmedabad to Chandigarh or Kalka by train, then road to Manali | ~24 to 30 hr rail + road | Budget option; break the journey at Chandigarh |
| By road (direct) | Ahmedabad to Manali via NH48 | ~1470 km, 28 to 30 hr driving | Long haul; most travellers fly the first leg |
Your package includes the transfers from the arrival point onward. For a deeper origin-by-origin guide, see the Himachal tourism hub.
Best time to visit Manali
Manali is a year-round trip, but what you can do changes sharply with the season. Match the month to what you want out of the three days.
| Season | Months | What it is like | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winter | Dec to Feb | Snow in Manali and Solang; Rohtang usually closed | Snow play, honeymoon |
| Spring and summer | Mar to Jun | Pleasant days; Rohtang and Atal Tunnel open by Apr to May | Sightseeing, families, peak season |
| Monsoon | Jul to mid-Sep | Green valley; some landslide risk on ghat roads | Budget travel, fewer crowds |
| Autumn | mid-Sep to Nov | Clear skies, apple season, crisp air | Photography, couples |
Inclusions and exclusions
| Included | Not included |
|---|---|
| 3 nights hotel accommodation in Manali | Rohtang Pass permit (about Rs 550/vehicle) |

Hotels and accommodation
Your three nights are in a comfortable mid-range Manali hotel such as Mountain Green Villa on Kanyal Road, or a similar property in the same class depending on your travel dates. Rooms are on twin-sharing with breakfast and dinner included. Tell our agents if you want an upgrade or a specific area (Old Manali, Log Huts or near Mall Road) and the package adjusts the tier and price to match.
Cancellation and refund policy
Plans change, so cancellation is handled on a clear sliding scale rather than all-or-nothing. In general the earlier you cancel the smaller the charge, with the full fee applying only very close to the travel date, and confirmed refunds are processed back to the original payment method within a set number of business days. Your exact window is shown on the quote and booking confirmation before you pay, so you always know the terms up front. For the current cancellation window and refund timeline on this package, confirm with your trip coordinator at the time of booking.

FAQs About Himachal Tour Packages
What is the cost of a 3 nights 4 days Manali package from Ahmedabad?
This package starts at Rs 10,000 per person on twin sharing and runs up to about Rs 10,989 depending on the hotel tier you pick. That covers three nights in Manali, daily breakfast and dinner, all transfers and taxes. It does not include the Rohtang permit, lunches or personal expenses, and you can customise the hotels or transport to move the price up or down.
How do I reach Manali from Ahmedabad, by flight or road?
There is no direct flight to Manali. Most travellers fly from Ahmedabad to Delhi or Chandigarh in about two hours and then drive up, roughly 530 km from Delhi or 310 km from Chandigarh. Bhuntar airport near Kullu is about 50 km away but has only limited seasonal flights. By direct road it is about 1470 km on NH48, which is why the two-leg fly-then-drive route is the popular choice.
Can I customise this Manali package from Ahmedabad?
Yes. You can change the hotels, add or drop a day, switch the cab type, or extend the trip to include Kasol or Shimla. Tell our agents your dates and budget and they will rework the itinerary and re-quote before you pay, so nothing is locked in until you confirm.
What is the best time for a 3 to 4 day Manali trip?
March to June gives pleasant days with Rohtang and the Atal Tunnel usually open, and it is the peak family season. October and November bring clear skies and apple season. December to February is the snow window in Manali and Solang, though Rohtang is normally closed. The monsoon from July to mid-September is the cheapest time but carries some landslide risk on the ghat roads.
Is the Rohtang Pass permit included, and what does it cost?
The Rohtang permit is not included in the package price. It is bought per vehicle at about Rs 550 on a daily quota, and Rohtang has a fixed weekly closure day. Your operator can arrange it the evening before your visit. When Rohtang is shut or over quota the day runs to Solang Valley instead, at no change in your package price.
What documents do I need to carry?
Every traveller should carry a government photo ID such as an Aadhaar, passport or driving licence, since hotels and the Rohtang permit counter both need it. Carry a printout or phone copy of your booking voucher too. Your operator handles the permit paperwork; you only need to have your IDs ready.
Is this package suitable for families, kids and elderly travellers?
Yes. The Manali local day, Kullu and Naggar heritage day and the hotels all work well for families and older travellers. The one thing to note is the altitude on the snow day: Rohtang sits near 3,980 m, so take it slow and skip it for anyone with breathing or heart trouble. Solang Valley is lower and gentler and is a good alternative.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellation is handled on a sliding scale, so the earlier you cancel the smaller the charge, with the full fee applying only very close to the travel date. Confirmed refunds go back to your original payment method within a set number of business days. The exact window and timeline appear on your quote and booking confirmation before payment, so you see the terms up front.
What are the timings of Naggar Castle?
Naggar Castle is open to visitors from 7 AM to 10 PM. It sits about an hour down-valley from Manali and pairs naturally with the Kullu and Naggar day on this itinerary, alongside the Gauri Shankar Temple and the Uruswati museum.
What are the timings of the Uruswati Himalayan Folk Art Museum?
The Uruswati Himalayan Folk Art Museum is open every day except Monday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. It holds the Nicholas Roerich Himalayan art collection and is a short distance from Naggar Castle, so both fit into the same day-three visit.
