A Manali Honeymoon, Planned Around the Two of You

Manali is the Himachal honeymoon that does not ask you to choose between snow, mountains and quiet. In five days you get the Beas rushing past your evening walk, the cedar-shaded Hadimba temple, a snow day at Solang or Rohtang, and the drive through the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul, which most older itineraries never reached. The base stays fixed in one Manali hotel, so you unpack once and let the days come to you.

This is the origin-flexible flagship in our Manali honeymoon range, distinct from the from-Delhi-by-Volvo version. You can start from any city: take the overnight Volvo or a private cab from Delhi, or fly into Bhuntar (about 50 km away) and cut the road time. The couple staples, a decorated room on arrival, a welcome drink and one candlelight dinner, are built in rather than sold as an afterthought.

Accommodation is a hand-picked, honeymoon-friendly 3-star hotel with daily breakfast and dinner, so after a full day out you come back to a warm room and a set meal, not a hunt for a restaurant. Every day below can be swapped, stretched or softened. Tell us you want a slow morning or an extra Solang afternoon and the agent rebuilds it before you pay.

    Honeymoon Special Touches We Arrange

These are the couple details that turn a Manali tour into a honeymoon. The decorated room, welcome drink, candlelight dinner and honeymoon cake are part of the package price. The couple photoshoot and a private couples-only vehicle are on-request extras the resort or agent arranges for a small additional charge.

Candlelight dinner: a candlelight dinner for two, usually on your first or second evening, laid out on a terrace or by the river.

Decorated room on arrival: a room dressed with flowers, balloons or a simple "just married" set-up waiting when you check in.

Honeymoon cake: a small celebration cake for the first night, handy if your trip doubles as an anniversary or a birthday.

Couple photoshoot: an optional couple or pre-wedding style shoot at Solang or an Old Manali cafe, arranged with a local photographer on request.

Welcome drink and privacy: a welcome drink at check-in and the option to hold a quiet, couples-only vehicle for sightseeing.

Planning a proposal or an anniversary rather than a first honeymoon? Say so when you request the quote and the agent will time the cake, the dinner and the decoration around the moment.

Day-Wise 4 Nights 5 Days Manali Honeymoon Itinerary

Day 1: Set Off for Manali

Your honeymoon starts the evening you leave. From Delhi the usual choice is the overnight Volvo or a private cab, a road trip of about 530 to 550 km that runs 12 to 14 hours through the night, so you wake up in the hills. If you would rather skip the long drive, fly into Bhuntar and we transfer you the last 50 km to Manali by cab. Either way, the plan is arranged so you reach Manali fresh the next morning rather than losing a full day.

Day 2: Arrive, Settle In, and Local Manali

You reach Manali in the morning and check in to a room already dressed for the two of you, with a welcome drink waiting. Rest through the middle of the day, then head out in the afternoon for the local sights: the 16th-century Hadimba Devi temple set among deodar cedars, the hot sulphur springs and old temple at Vashisht, the Tibetan Monastery with its prayer wheels, and Van Vihar on the banks of the Beas. As the light drops, walk the Mall Road and the lanes of Old Manali for coffee and browsing. Dinner tonight is the candlelight one, then back to the hotel to stay overnight.

Day 3: Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel to Sissu

After breakfast you drive out to Solang Valley, about 14 km up, the adventure stretch of the trip. In winter it is a snow field for sledging and skiing; in summer it is paragliding, the ropeway and zorbing, all paid on the spot as you choose. From here the modern Manali route carries on through the Atal Tunnel, the 9 km engineering marvel opened in 2020, into Lahaul and the riverside village of Sissu, roughly 40 km on, with its waterfall and open valley views that older Manali itineraries simply could not reach. When Rohtang Pass is your preference instead, we swap it in, subject to the National Green Tribunal permit rules and the Tuesday closure. Back to the hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 4: Kullu, Naggar Castle and a Photo Stop

Today drops down the Beas valley towards Kullu. The centrepiece is Naggar Castle, a 15th-century stone-and-wood fort turned heritage property, about 22 km from Manali, with valley views that make it the natural spot for the optional couple photoshoot. Depending on how the day runs you can add a riverside stop, the short walk to Jogini Falls near Vashisht, or a Kullu shawl and handicraft browse. Evenings are yours: a quiet dinner, or a last wander through Old Manali. Overnight at the hotel.

    Day 5: Departure

After a final breakfast you check out and we transfer you to your departure point, the Volvo stand for the overnight ride back to Delhi, or Bhuntar for a flight. Tell the agent if you want to add a late checkout or a last hour of shopping and it is built into the plan.

    What's Included and What's Not

All applicable taxesAnything not listed under inclusions

The decorated room, welcome drink, candlelight dinner and honeymoon cake are included in the package. The couple photoshoot and a private couples-only vehicle are the only honeymoon touches charged as on-request extras, and the agent quotes them before you pay.

Cost for Two and the Best Time for a Manali Honeymoon

A 4 nights 5 days Manali honeymoon on this package starts around Rs 12,900 per person on twin sharing, roughly Rs 25,800 for the couple, with breakfast, dinner and the honeymoon touches included. The final number moves with three things: the season, the hotel tier, and how you travel. Volvo from Delhi is the budget option, a private cab costs more but gives you a couples-only car, and flying into Bhuntar saves time for the most.

On timing, the two of you should pick the season that matches the honeymoon you want.

October to February: the reliable snow window and the most romantic time, cold, clear and quiet, with fresh snow at Solang and often on the drive to Sissu. Pack heavy woollens.

March to June: pleasant, green and comfortable, with rhododendron in spring; the busiest and priciest stretch, so book early.

July to August: the monsoon; the valley is lush but landslides can disrupt the Rohtang and Atal Tunnel roads, so it is the season to keep plans flexible.

While you are here, work in the local food: try river trout, siddu, a Himachali dham thali and a masala omelette in the Old Manali cafes, and leave room for shopping on Mall Road, Manu Market and the Tibetan Market for shawls, caps and curios.

      FAQs About Himachal Honeymoon Packages

What is included in a 4 nights 5 days Manali honeymoon package?

The package covers 4 nights (3 nights in a honeymoon-friendly 3-star Manali hotel plus the overnight journey), daily breakfast and dinner, a decorated room on arrival, a welcome drink, one candlelight dinner and a honeymoon cake, Volvo transfers to and from Delhi, and all sightseeing across Manali, Solang or Rohtang, the Atal Tunnel to Sissu and Kullu-Naggar by cab. Airfare, lunch, adventure charges and entry fees are extra.

How much does a Manali honeymoon package cost for a couple?

This 4N/5D honeymoon package starts around Rs 12,900 per person on twin sharing, roughly Rs 25,800 for the couple, with breakfast, dinner and the honeymoon touches included. The final price depends on your travel dates, the hotel tier and whether you take the Volvo, a private cab or fly into Bhuntar. Send your dates for a live quote.

Which is the best month for a Manali honeymoon?

October to February is the classic honeymoon window: cold, quiet and snowy, with fresh snow at Solang and often on the drive to Sissu. March to June is pleasant and green but the busiest and priciest. July and August bring the monsoon, when the valley is lush but the high roads can be disrupted, so keep the plan flexible if you travel then.

Do you arrange room decoration, a candlelight dinner or a couple photoshoot?

Yes. A decorated room on arrival, a welcome drink, one candlelight dinner and a honeymoon cake are included in the package. An optional couple or pre-wedding photoshoot at Solang or an Old Manali cafe can be added on request for an extra charge, as can a private couples-only vehicle for your sightseeing. The agent quotes any add-on before you book.

Is Volvo or a private cab included, and can we fly instead?

The base package includes seat-in-coach Volvo transfers to and from Delhi, with all local sightseeing on a private-cab basis. If you prefer a couples-only car for the whole trip we can switch to a private cab from Delhi, or you can fly into Bhuntar airport (about 50 km from Manali) and we handle the last transfer. Each option changes the price, so tell us your choice for an accurate quote.

Does the itinerary cover Rohtang, Solang, the Atal Tunnel and Kullu?

Yes. Day 3 covers Solang Valley and the drive through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu in Lahaul, with Rohtang Pass available as a swap subject to the permit rules and the Tuesday closure. Day 4 heads down to Kullu and Naggar Castle. Day 2 covers local Manali (Hadimba, Vashisht, the Tibetan Monastery and Van Vihar). Every day is customisable if you want to add or drop a stop.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellation and refund terms depend on how far ahead you cancel and the individual hotel and transport suppliers on your dates, so they are confirmed in writing with your quote before you pay. Advance notice usually means a smaller deduction. Ask the agent for the exact slabs for your booking, and consider travel insurance, which we recommend but do not include.

Can we customise the trip for an anniversary or a proposal?

Yes. The itinerary is fully customisable, and if the trip is an anniversary or you are planning a proposal, tell the agent when you request the quote. We time the cake, the candlelight dinner and the room decoration around your moment, and can arrange a photographer so it is captured.

Is Manali safe and suitable for a honeymoon?

Manali is a well-established honeymoon destination and is safe for couples with normal precautions. Roads to Rohtang and the Atal Tunnel are weather-dependent in winter and the monsoon, which is why the plan keeps a snow day flexible. Local food worth trying includes river trout, siddu and a Himachali dham, and Mall Road, Manu Market and the Tibetan Market are good for shawls and curios.

We booked our trip through Travel Talkies, and they truly exceeded our expectations. However, we would like to tell one suggestion for next customers that to avoid Hotel Snow Vil

Overall Experience is awesome. Hotel at shimla is not a hotel it's a homestay type, whose services are ok ok. So, tour planner should plan a good hotel instead of it. Hotel at Manali is better with services and food. Driver and his sense of humour are nice.5 star to driver.but I have to pay extra
for 4*4 vehicle at Manali in snow which should be cover by travel agent or driver. Also, all rolls taxes are covered in package but I paid green taxes at two locations. Which should be covered. Travel agent is good but at the end of journey my last hotel said you have to payment before checkout whereas I already paid full payment to travel company. It takes 1 hour at last hotel. Which was embarrassing. Manali awesome snow fall made my journey memorable.

Overall trip was great. Nice weather, nice spots. A bit costly all the things at solang valley. Not worth as compared to time given for activities. Manali hotel overall is good place for living. Propmt service. Only things they can add is adding varieties in daily dinner and breakfast. Kasol
hotel was not good. Heater provided with extra charges was not even ok. Its waste of money. Food also was not good. Driver was good at driving. But at starting he was not enthusiastic for showing different places or not even same places which was mentioned in trip details. Expecting other places or options if any of the place is closed or not reachable. Solang valley - only place with snow. Kasol - Manikarn -mesmerizing view. Manali street mall.

Hi All, I am happy to share few feedbacks about "Shimla Online Travels". They have been in touch with us since the day we booked our trip in Traveltriangle. They did sharing the details like CAB/hotel continuously on time and the arrangements they made was very good. We like the hotel stays they b
ooked both in Manali/Shilma. Rooms are really nice. We requested them to have english speaking drivers and they arranged too. Overall the sevice was very good, especially Renu sharma Anki Zinta. They both were in touch when ever we needed assistace during out trip. They very friendly too. Thanks for your great support. I will continue refer this Online travel to my frinds too. Thank you. Regards, Vinoth

We have got hotels in Shimla and manali at some hill corners with no stores and Medical stores near by..there were so many hotels on main road only..but they tried to save money with these.. before going only we asked for non veg food from hotel and they promised that hotel gives you veg and non veg
option.after going there from both hotel we got only veg food and we had to pay extra for non veg..driver changes the itinerary as per him...hotel and food was the worst part of it..they don't reimburse food money also..travel agent says he was not aware about not getting non veg food.
