Violet travels Kashmir trip was a great experience. The travel agents were too prompt to reply to any of our queries. Special mention and thanks to our trip organiser Mehrein. Hotels were not upto the mark in Pahalagam. Specifically if we are booking for 3 adults you should at least make sure that the rooms are 3 bedded and big enough to keep luggage and a spare third mattress if a single bed not available. Rest all excellent.

One inconvenience we faces was, when the date of arrival was nearing, we got to know that the person who had arranged and booked our trip had gone on a long leave. Now this lead to some missed communications between the team and us. However, the person in charge -Rayees ji, had shared his number with us and we were in constant touch with him to fill in the gaps due to which we didn't experience any major inconvenience. However, do ensure your agent books your gondola tickets well in advance as this wasn't handled for us. Apart from this, the services by Travel home were good and all the hotels they booked were excellent. There's absolutely no need to cross verify the hotels they provide you, as they provide some very good hotels with top notch views at a good price. One word of advice , if you are booking trips during the month of Ramadan, postpone it. As the driver also has their Roza and Iftaar due to which you will have to wrap up your sightseeing by 6.30pm max. This is a huge disadvantage as you'll be missing a lot of time and experiences at many places as you won't want to discomfort them as well. Driver Aashiq Bhai was professional and always on time. Was a very efficient and a safe driver, as well. However due to his Roza, we had a tight time schedule on our trip ( had to wrap up before iftaar as we didn't want to discomfort him). The trip was overall made hassle free and we enjoyed our experience :) thanks travel home!

While the overall experience was fine, I was not satisfied with the hotel stay in Pahalgam. I had specifically mentioned that I have 2 senior citizens travelling with me and hence they won't be able to take steps and so to ensure that rooms were all on the ground floor. However, this communication was not passed on to the hotel and we got a room in the 2nd floor without any lift service. While the staff was co-operative and ensured food was served in the room, I thought there was lack of communication between the travel agent and the hotel management.

Hope's 9 days trip to Kashmir

I Had booked my trip through Travel Home. I had travelled solo to Kashmir, but Kashmir never left me alone. To be honest I did not come to Kashmir carrying any kind of "fear of the unknown" that we usually associate with Kashmir. I had left it to the place and its people about how they make me feel. And now if I have to speak about Kashmir, I can just go on and on. The trip was neatly done per my preference. Right from Mr. Meer to my driver Mr. Aizaz, to all my local guides who I came in touch with, never did they ever make me regret to be in Kashmir. I spent considerable time with Mr. Aizaz as he ferried me from one destination to another. He surely is informative. He took me to the Ahdoo's when I wanted to taste the Kashmiri wazwan. And also suggested places where I could shop. I loved every minute of my stay. The hotels right from Srinagar to Gulmarg to Pahalgam were right on the money and worth it. At the end I just want to say, Kashmir I will be back. Thanks to everyone from Travel Home for making my 9 days in Kashmir so truly beautiful, just like Kashmir is.

Arcopol's 9 days trip to Kashmir

First, the negatives: We faced a few unexpected costs which the agent had not told us about in advance when we were planning the trip. For example, we had to hire a separate cab for Rs 1,600 from Tangmarg to Gulmarg. The designated cab assigned by the agent would not go till our Gulmarg hotel, citing taxi union rules. At all locations -- Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam - the charges for pony ride were very steep (between approx. 1200-3000 per person -- for a family of four that's upwards of Rs 12,000). We were not prepared for this and hence decided to skip these activities. At Sonmarg, for a one-hour long car ride, we ended up paying Rs 4,000. Further, at each of the above locations, travellers are required to rent coats and boots (costing about Rs 300 per person). Additionally, two locations in our itinerary (to which two days were devoted out of our 9-day tour) are shut during winter -- Yousmarg and Doodhpatri -- and the agent never told us about this aspect. It was only when we landed in Srinagar and began our trip that our cab driver informed us about it. No alternative arrangements were made by the agent nor the driver to reimburse any of costs due to this. It would have been better had the agent recommended a different itinerary, considering there is so little to do in Srinagar. Even the gardens were extremely dull. Better guidance from the agent would have helped. Our Pahalgam hotel, Pahalgam Retreat, had no wi-fi for the entire duration of our 2-night stay. There was no power supply from 10PM-6AM either on both days. My suggestion to fellow travellers is to get a more detailed understanding of inclusions for each room while booking the package e.g. one or two bottles of complimentary mineral water, teabags, milk and sugar sachets. We did not get these complimentary at two of the four hotels we stayed in. Now the positives: We had an excellent driver. Three of the four hotels we stayed in: Royal Heritage in Srinagar, Royal Park in Gulmarg and Young Golden Palace Houseboat in Dal Lake were very good. Our agent was very reassuring in making us a decision to travel to Kashmir, because we were very concerned about travelling to the region due to safety concerns after the Pulwama attacks. All meals on our package were extremely tasty and wholesome. Kashmiri people are very warm, friendly, soft-spoken and their hospitality is memorable. We probably chose the wrong month to travel there, and next time we shall visit in summer.

Very good service and guidance from Innova Driver Mr. Farook Ahmed Inconvenience: 1. Faced little inconvenience at the time of check in at Anarkali Houseboat on arrival early morning. It was told to us that check -in time was on 12 pm where-in we arrived at 7.30 am. But with little patience and waiting we were able to check-in at 10 am in the morning. -Travel Triangle should ensure this clause of check-in well in advance to customers so that they can book their flight timing accordingly. 2. Accommodation at Lidder Resorts @Pahalgam was not good. Neither room nor the food nor the service. It was unhygienic experience. Travel Triangle & Fortune Holidays: Please do not include such accommodations in your itinerary. Areas of Improvement for Anarkali Houseboat: Veg Dinner should include Paneer Dish every night. Also there is scope of improvement as far Delicious ness of food in concerned. Overall happy with the tour and have lot of fond memories.
