Your Nusa Penida Day
Day 3 is the reason to pick this trip, and it is the longest day you will have. Leave Kuta at about 6:30 am for Sanur Harbour, where a fast boat crosses to the island in about 45 minutes. You then tour by car with a guide. The fixed itinerary lists this day, and your quote states whether the boat and tour are in your price.
The stops. Kelingking Cliff comes first, with the view down to Kelingking Beach that most people know from photographs. Stay well back from the edge. The path down to the sand is steep and tiring, so the clifftop is the stop on this plan. Angel's Billabong is a tidal rock pool on the same west coast. Broken Beach is about 10 minutes along the cliff path from it, so ask your guide for time to walk over. Crystal Bay is last, about 40 minutes by road on narrow, bumpy lanes.
Swimming. It is not allowed at Angel's Billabong or in the sea at Kelingking. Klungkung authorities banned it in January 2023 because waves break over the rocks without warning, and a September 2026 report still lists Kelingking as no swimming. You can still visit both. Crystal Bay is usually calmer, but it is not risk-free. A visitor drowned there on 13 September 2026, a day after a fatal fall at Kelingking, and the Klungkung tourism office said it would add warning flags at both sites. A scuba diver also died off Crystal Bay on 16 September 2026, on a dive where strong currents swept others away. Look at the sea before you go in, stay inside any marked area, and stay out if staff or your guide say so. Snorkelling costs extra, and you should not go out without a guide.
The boat. The crossing can be rough, particularly from November to March, and take seasickness tablets before boarding if you need them. Sailings back to Sanur stop at about 5 pm, so sunset on the island is not possible on this plan. Boats can be called off in bad weather. Day 5 is free, so ask your agent now whether Day 3 moves there if that happens. If you are travelling with small children, or anyone with back or knee trouble, ask about a shorter Day 3 before you book.
Island fees. Since 1 September 2026, foreign adults pay about IDR 25,000 for the island and IDR 25,000 at each listed stop. Payment is cashless, so carry a card, and tickets are checked by QR code. Kelingking, the Angel's Billabong and Broken Beach area, and Crystal Bay come to about IDR 100,000 per adult, roughly Rs 525, or IDR 125,000 (about Rs 655) if Angel's Billabong and Broken Beach are ticketed separately. Children aged 4 to 13 pay IDR 15,000 per charge. Your quote says who buys these tickets.
Your bags. You change hotel on this day, so pack a small day bag the night before and confirm with your agent how the suitcases reach Seminyak.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Bali, Transfer to Kuta
Your holiday begins at Ngurah Rai International Airport, where our representative meets you outside arrivals and takes you to Grand La Walon Hotel in Kuta by private air-conditioned SUV. The hotel is about 6 km from the airport by road. Check-in opens at 2 pm, so tell your agent if you land in the morning.
Take time to swim in the outdoor pool or unwind in your room. In the evening, step out for a quiet walk. Legian Art Market is about 500 metres from the hotel, and there are plenty of places nearby for dinner at your own cost. If you land before 1 pm, you can add some touring for a small extra fee.
Overnight in Kuta.
Day 2: Kuta Beach, Padang Padang and Uluwatu Temple
After breakfast, start at Kuta Beach, a long stretch known for its waves and surf schools, with Beachwalk Mall close by if you want to browse. Then drive south onto the Bukit peninsula to Garuda Wisnu Kencana, the cultural park with its giant statue of Vishnu riding Garuda.
Padang Padang Beach is next, a small cove reached down a stone stairway, with soft sand and clear water. You finish at Uluwatu Temple on its cliff above the Indian Ocean. Keep your sunglasses in your bag, because the monkeys here steal them. The Kecak dance starts at about 6 pm and is a paid extra at IDR 150,000 (about Rs 790), so tell your agent early if you want seats.
Overnight in Kuta.
Day 3: Nusa Penida, with Kelingking, Angel's Billabong and Crystal Bay
Check out early and drive to Sanur Harbour. Ask your agent for a packed breakfast if the hotel kitchen is not open by then. The boat, the three stops and the rules on swimming are set out under Your Nusa Penida Day above. Your guide shares stories of the island's culture and sights on the road between stops. Plan on lunch somewhere along the route at your own cost, and carry water, because shade is scarce at Kelingking.
Back at Sanur in the late afternoon, you transfer to New Pondok Sara Villas in Seminyak, arriving around 6:30 pm. Late check-in is fine here. Have a quiet dinner close to the villa.
Overnight in Seminyak.
Day 4: Tegenungan, Monkey Forest, Mt Batur and Tegalalang
This is another long day, so leave Seminyak by about 8 am. Your first stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, a short walk down from the road. Next is the Monkey Forest in Ubud, where your guide explains the temple grounds. Hold on to anything loose, as the monkeys are quick.
Continue north to the Kintamani ridge for the view across Mt Batur, a semi-active volcano, and its crater lake. This is a viewpoint stop, not a trek. Coming back down, you stop at the Tegalalang rice terraces for the lookout points, then at a coffee plantation to taste Balinese coffee and see how it is made. Expect to reach Seminyak around 7 pm.
Overnight in Seminyak.
Day 5: Free Day in Bali, with Optional Tours
Nothing is scheduled today, and after two long days that is useful. Spend it at the villa or walk to the beach, about 6 minutes away. If you want more, these are the tours your agent can add. Figures are market prices we read in October 2026 and your quote gives the real one.
| Option | How it fits the day | Guide price per person |
|---|---|---|
| Mt Batur sunrise trek | Very early pickup, back by lunch | About Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,500 |
| Ayung River rafting | Half day, near Ubud | About Rs 2,200 to Rs 3,800 |
| Bali Swing and ATV ride, Ubud | Half day, buffet lunch nearby | Ask your agent |
| Nung Nung Twin Waterfall | Half day, inland | Ask your agent |
| Tanah Lot sunset | Late afternoon, west coast | Entry Rp75,000 (about Rs 400), plus car |
| Cruise to Lembongan Island | Full day | About US$130 unless your quote lists it |
Overnight in Seminyak.
Day 6: Departure from Ngurah Rai Airport
After a last breakfast, check out by noon. Your private cab takes you to Ngurah Rai International Airport, about 10 km from the villa. Allow extra time for afternoon traffic through Kuta, and reach the terminal three hours before your flight.
Hotels in Kuta and Seminyak
Your agent books these or similar hotels, depending on availability, and your confirmed hotels are named on your quote before you pay.
Days 1 and 2: Grand La Walon Hotel, Kuta. Jalan Benesari. It has an outdoor pool, a garden and a spa centre, with a 24-hour front desk. Legian Art Market is about 500 metres away and Double Six Beach about 2 km.
Days 3 to 5: New Pondok Sara Villas, Seminyak. Jalan Arjuna, Gang Raja. Villas have a living and dining area, a kitchen and a private terrace, and breakfast is served in the villa. The beach is about 6 minutes on foot, and Seminyak's shops and restaurants about 5.

Booking and Payment
Click "Customize & Get Quotes", tell us your dates and changes, and connect with up to three agents. Compare them, ask for edits, and pay in instalments once you pick one. The deposit and the balance date are written on your quote before you pay anything.
Read five lines on that quote before you accept it: the Day 3 boat and island tour, who buys the island tickets, the visa, both hotels, and any Day 5 tour. What is on the quote is what you are buying.
