Uttarakhand Spiritual Getaway: A 10-Day Journey to the Abode of the Gods 10 Days & 9 Nights

The journey begins in Delhi, where you'll depart early in the morning and drive towards Haridwar, a city steeped in spirituality. Early morning, you'll depart from Barkot and drive to Janki Chatti, the starting point for the Yamunotri trek. From Janki Chatti, you'll begin the 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple, which is moderately steep and usually takes 3-5 hours depending on fitness and crowd conditions. Upon reaching Yamunotri, you'll seek blessings at the temple, visit Divya Shila, and take a holy dip in Surya Kund, the natural hot water spring. After darshan, you'll begin the return trek to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot, where you'll relax and prepare for the next day's journey.

After breakfast, you'll check out from the hotel and proceed towards Uttarkashi, one of the most important spiritual towns in Uttarakhand situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. You'll enjoy beautiful mountain scenery, river valleys, and charming villages along the route. Upon arrival, you'll check in to your hotel and visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where you'll seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the local market and riverside area, depending on time availability.

Early morning, you'll depart from Uttarkashi and drive to Gangotri, the sacred origin shrine of River Ganga. En route, you'll visit Gangnani Hot Springs, Bhatwari, Sukhi Top, and enjoy scenic views of the Himalayan landscape. You'll continue through beautiful pine forests and river valleys towards Gangotri, where you'll visit the Gangotri Temple and offer prayers to Goddess Ganga. You'll also explore the surroundings, including Lanka Bridge and the banks of the Bhagirathi River, depending on local permissions and weather conditions.

After breakfast, you'll check out from the hotel and drive towards Chandrapuri, located on the route to Kedarnath. Today's journey passes through beautiful Himalayan valleys, river confluences, and picturesque villages. You'll enjoy the changing landscapes and mountain views throughout the day. Upon arrival, you'll check in to your hotel and relax before the Kedarnath trek.

Early morning, you'll check out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag, where private vehicles are permitted only up to this point. From Sonprayag, you'll take a local shuttle/shared jeep to Gaurikund at your own expense. You'll begin the Kedarnath trek from Gaurikund, which is approximately 18 km one way and passes alongside the beautiful Mandakini River valley. You'll have the option to complete the trek on foot or opt for pony, palki, or helicopter services, subject to availability and additional cost. Upon reaching Kedarnath, you'll visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple and experience the divine atmosphere amidst the snow-capped Himalayas.

You'll attend the morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple and spend some peaceful time near the shrine. After breakfast, you'll begin the return trek to Gaurikund, which is approximately 18 km downhill. You'll have the option to walk or use pony, palki, or helicopter services at your own expense. Upon reaching Gaurikund, you'll take the local shuttle back to Sonprayag and meet your vehicle. You'll then continue the journey towards Chandrapuri, where you'll relax and prepare for the next day's journey.

After breakfast, you'll proceed towards Pipalkoti via Chopta, one of Uttarakhand's most scenic destinations, often referred to as the Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand. You'll enjoy magnificent Himalayan views and lush alpine meadows. You'll have the option to visit Tungnath Temple, which requires a 3.5 km trek each way, or continue towards Chandrashila Peak, subject to weather, fitness, and available time. Later, you'll continue the drive towards Pipalkoti, where you'll check in to your hotel and relax.

After breakfast, you'll drive towards Badrinath, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Upon arrival, you'll take a holy dip in Tapt Kund before visiting Badrinath Temple. You'll also explore nearby attractions, including Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Mata Murti Temple, Bhim Pul, and the banks of the Alaknanda River, depending on available time. Later, you'll return to Pipalkoti, where you'll relax and prepare for the next day's journey.

After breakfast, you'll check out from the hotel and begin the return journey towards Delhi. You'll drive through the scenic confluences of Uttarakhand while descending from the hills towards Haridwar and Rishikesh.
