Bangaram Atoll
A favorite spot among tourists is Bangaram Atoll. An ‘atoll’ is a ring-shaped island formed of coral. Bangaram offers beaches to walk upon or to simply lie down on and bask in the sun. The clear coral reef and the tropical birds visiting this island are a soothing sight for the eyes. The island closest to Bangaram is Thinnakara which is next up on this list.

This island shares the same lagoon as Bangaram. It is 12-15 mins away from Bangaram on a boat. Thinnakara offers the most unique stay with its beach tent houses. Scuba diving and snorkeling are what this island is famous for. As for leisure activities, this island offers turtle view boat rides and stargazing. One can also enjoy a walk around the island on its soft white sandy beach that runs around the entire island.
Kalpitty Island
Kalpitty is a 7.6km long, uninhabited island. Being uninhabited, this island gives one the feeling of being all alone, far away from the madding crowds. It takes about 45mins to reach this island by boat from Agatti. Kalpitty is the perfect place to visit for all swimmers and adventurers.
