Day 2 at Oman in June begins with Breakfast at hotel in the morning and depart to visit the Grand Mosque (Note- Mosque closed on Fridays and public holidays). The day begins with the highlight of the Muscat city which was built in 2001. Grand mosque showcases a very modern looking structure and craft but the modern craftsmen have contained the skills to create beautiful traditional environment around it. This place is so picturesque that one can go on clicking pictures all day long.
Few major attractions of this place includes the handmade carpets, the chandeliers, main prayer room’s ceiling on a big dome should be in the bucket list. This place has a dress code to maintain the religious decorum. Women to wear fully covered outfits along with head scarves and men to wear full trousers. Then resume the journey ahead of Muscat and visit Nizwa Round tower fort and Nizwa Souk. Click some beautiful pictures and drive to village named Birkat Al mauz.
