About Nightlife Guide In Singapore
Singapore nightlife is as vibrant and spirited as the island country is during the day. Sundown takes nothing away from the exuberant lifestyle of the Lion City. Not only pubs and nightclubs, but the liveliness is also evident in the number of other nighttime activities Singapore has to offer – safaris, shopping, rooftop bars. Singapore being a small city-country, that too with round the clock transportation, it is easy for the tourists to hop from one place of excitement to another.
Here is a comprehensive list of Singapore nightlife once the sun goes down and the shiny lights flicker to life.
1. Clark Quay
The most popular of the three historic quays of Singapore, Clark Quay is an eclectic riverside promenade buzzing with the sounds of fascinated tourists and busy locals. Singapore nightlife usually starts right here, amidst the glitz and glamour of thumping music and disco lights. From lined up restaurants serving quality seafood with wine and flowing bottles of beer to old boats turned into innovative floating pubs – Clark Quay’s boulevard is the place to be.
Zouk Singapore is not just a pub, it is an institution. The performing rink of Zouk has seen many popular faces over the last two decades – David Guetta, Tiesto and many other international DJs. The venue of the club is as classy as it gets – an old converted warehouse. Visiting Zouk and dancing to the beats of the latest chartbusters should be on the bucket list – after all it is on top of all the clubs in Singapore.
3. Orchard Road
Albeit mostly known for daytime shopping in the high-end malls, come night time and Orchard road becomes the most spirited place for the sophisticated partiers. As the shoppers go home, the lounges and bars light up waiting for the clubbers to drop in. Emerald Hill Road behind Orchard Central Mall is packed with smaller, quainter places perfect for a mug of draught beer and crackers. Orchard Road Singapore nightlife is the lesser known, but very much energetic nighttime activity.
4. Crane Dance – Sentosa Island
At the waterfront area of Sentosa, Singapore nightlife comes alive when the heartbreakingly beautiful love story of two mechanical cranes is presented with the help of actual technical mechanics along with artistic play of light and great support by music. Although it takes place not that late in the night, from 8 PM – 8:30 PM, it is one of the best and yet completely offbeat light and sound shows ever and one should not miss it at any cost.
5. Night Market at Bugis Street
Singapore night market is quite a thing in the Lion City, but Bugis Street is the best one can find. It is one of the biggest, cheapest and liveliest places in the night. Here one can find everything under the sky at unbelievable rates, and then perhaps win a bargaining match with the vendor if they get lucky.
