1. Nagoa Beach

Winter Season

Winters start in Diu in late October and stays till February. The temperature fluctuates between 10°C to 30°C. There is hardly any rainfall during these months. The weather is extremely pleasant with clear skies and the sea is also not rough. This is the best time to visit Diu and enjoy all the outdoor activities. Many festivals fall during winter season such as Nariyal Poornima where locals pray for good tides in the fishing season. Christmas is also celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm, St Paul’s Church is decorated and midnight mass service takes place. During Navratri and Diwali entire Diu lits up in colorful lights and fireworks. Diu is basically crammed with tourists during winters.

The best time to visit Gir National Park is also during the winter season from November till March.

Monsoon Season

From June till September, Diu experiences heavy downpours. The temperature ranges between 23°C to 37°C. The sea becomes really rough and it is difficult to enjoy watersports on the beaches. Intermittent rainfall hinders in outdoor activities and there is a dip in the number of people visiting the place. Boat rides and cruises are also not functional during the wet season.

The Gir National Park remains closed during Monsoon from 16th June to 15th October every year.

Summer Season

Summer in Diu begins in March and is there till May and the temperature fluctuates between 25°C to 37°C. The sea during summers is calm and warm, one can easily enjoy watersports activities on the pristine beaches of Diu such as a banana boat ride, paragliding, and speed boating. The nearest airport to Gir National Park is Keshod Airpot which is around 70 kilometers from the park. You can easily take a cab and reach the National Park in 1 hour and 20 minutes (approx). The nearest railway station to the National Park is Junagadh railway station which is around 105 kilometers away. One can easily take a cab from the railway station and reach in 2 hours (approx).
