However, the Feast of St. Francis Xavier still takes place every year on December 3rd. The structure of the church is, in a word, elegant. The marble floors have precious stones inlaid in them, while the church’s altar holds a massive statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola, another founder of the Society of Jesus.
