Best Time To Visit Amritsar

April to June

The summers in Amritsar make it unbearable to enjoy local sightseeing. Visitors avoid planning a trip during this season because of the high temperature leading to scorching heat.

July to October

The monsoon season in Amritsar brings relief after the scorching summer heat. Although there is a fall in temperature compared to summers, many travelers usually avoid visiting Amritsar during monsoons because of the humidity and heavy rainfall.

November to March

Winters are pleasant and suitable for local sightseeing. Book an Amritsar honeymoon tour package to experience the cool breeze with your better half. However, January is a month during which people avoid a trip to Amritsar because of the extremely chilly weather.

How To Reach Amritsar?

By Air

Chaya's 4 days trip to Himachal

Hotels: Hotel The jade mountain. Dalhousie stay was very good. The food was nice and staff were courteous. Hotel aura grand. Amritsar stay was pathetic. The room was filled with small cockroaches and flies. We checked other rooms and it was the same condition. The food was good though. Driver: very talkative but good person. It would be better if you can send drivers who knows the local areas. My driver dint know much about Dalhousie and surrounding places. On top of it i had to pay extra for an 8kms drive which was not part of the itinerary.

Hotels in Dharamshala and Manali were good. Hotel in Shimla was not very good, room was in fourth floor with no lift or dressing mirror. There was no water in first day for 1.5 hours. Hotel in Amritsar was in a very cramped gully. Driver was so much money minded and was very moody when we asked around for a new short trip also. Hotel in Dharamshala had a very good view. Gramphu vist suggested by driver was good.

Dhanashree's 7 days trip to Himachal

We had initially not so good but later a better experience with Ideal tours. We had asked agency to book Volvo for travel from Delhi to Manali. After getting on the bus we got to know that Volvo tickets are non pre-booked and we have to pay to Volvo (This was included in our package). As requested by travel agency we paid the 2nd instalment on 1st day of the trip but on 3rd day itself owner of travel agency asked us to pay to cab service by ourselves. Our understanding is we pay to agency and later they pay to hotels and cabs etc. At last after lot of insistence from Agency we paid the whole amount on 2nd day itself. (It was agreed that we will pay last instalment after half trip is completed). Can driver for Manali site seeing was not professional. He was late at every spot we got down. His family was also travelling with us in cab. He would not On A/c in afternoon in summer. Resort The Stream was amazing in Kasol Driver from Kasol to further trip was good. Hotel in Dalhousie was very Average and 7 km outskirts of Dalhousie. Hotel in Dharamshala was also good. On last day, we had night journey from Amritsar to Delhi which was booked by Agency on very last day and also they booked semi sleeper instead of Sleeper. Sleeper buses are available on that route The Stream resort in Kasol

Jitendra's 9 days trip to Himachal

Overall trip was good. Driver was very cooperative and nice. However, following are the issues during the trip:- 1. Certain highly famous sightseen were not included in the itinerary such as Atal Tunnel / Sisu Valley, Manikaran, Kasol etc. 2. For above trip driver charged directly to us. For e.g. we have paid INR 4K for Sisu which is hardly 25KM from Solang valley directly to driver. The price paid were too high as per my view. 3. Hotel Aura Grand in Amritsar was pathetic as the room were not clean, food was tasteless and not hygienic infact some food items like butter were stinking.
