Autistic kids are special without a doubt and so they need special attention too. Many countries and cities around the world are taking steps to make these kids feel welcome. And we must say USA’sPennsylvania is nailing it, as it’s Sesame Street Theme Park is now a world’s first autism certified theme park. For those who don’t know, Sesame Street introduced an Autistic character, Julia, in 2017 and it grabbed many eyeballs and got featured in many news channels.
Dedicated to the famous kids’ series, Sesame Street, this theme park is given the certification by International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This Autism-centric association travels around the world and recognizes places which are deemed safe for the people/children affected by Autism. The authorities of the theme park say that the staff is trained in such a way that they can serve autistic visitors efficiently.
The Sesame Street Theme Park organizes parades and shows, and other than that there are twenty five other attractions inside as well. There are two special quiet rooms inside which has adjustable lighting feature, letting the guardians decide the attractions as it depicts the effect on the child’s sensory reception.
